Freya’s days were hectic after Fenrir found out she was faking her illness a few days ago.

Since her condition had improved, she didn’t know when Erik would come to her to inform her of the union. She felt impatient.

Freya, who had obtained permission to go on walks on the pretext of feeling depressed, had a rough idea of where outsiders were coming and going to deliver goods, and where the security personnel were gathered. As expected, there was a horde of knights with fierce expressions gathered at the main gate.

In the meantime, she got a hint regarding the passageway people used.

‘Okay, this is it.’

Now that she had discovered a possible way out of this fortress, all she had to do was torment Erik.

Since then, Freya had begun calling Erik and making all kinds of demands.

“How much more do I have to explain? Even if I can live without water, I can’t live without flowers.”

“Someone like that doesn’t exist.”

“You have one right in front of you. It’s not a difficult request. I’m not asking you to bring me a hundred roses, I just want one.”

Erik naturally grumbled.

Even if it was just one rose, it had to be brought in from far away since roses didn’t grow in the north. In other words, the effort was the same whether it was a hundred roses or just one.

“Still, it can’t be done. We don’t have the necessary manpower to waste on luxuries.”

“But that’s how noble women are.”

“You shouldn’t expect that here.”

Freya frowned as if she didn’t like it.

“All right, then, I’ll yield the flowers.”

“Yes, you should. You need to realize the position you’re in a littl…”

“Instead, can I ask for dishes I want to eat? I’ve been feeling a little hungry. As you can see, I lost a lot of weight after coming here, I don’t think the food here suits my taste.”

As she asked for something practical after making ridiculous demands like roses, Erik was more inclined to accept.

“Tell me what dishes you want to eat. I’ll listen to your request and think about it.”

“Wait a minute, I’ve written down a list.”

Erik immediately regretted it.

Freya’s list was ridiculously long, and it didn’t seem to include any easy dishes.

“You’ll do it, right?” Freya asked Erik with shining eyes. He had a dazed expression.

Erik left Freya’s room and glared at the closed door.

How in the world was she so demanding?

‘Considering she also made all kinds of demands even when she was sick, I guess that’s just how she is.’

Eric inwardly felt very fortunate to serve Margrave Niflheim. If he had to serve such a noble lady, he would not have been able to fulfill his duties.

In particular, asking for roses because the room was too gloomy was the most outrageous thing that Eric had been ordered to do during his ten years as an attendant. Ornamental flowers in this harsh place?

Was she trying to escape reality?

If that was the case, he could understand it a little. Suddenly having to give birth to a child to be sacrificed wasn’t something anyone in their right mind could accept.

Maybe she was going to wear the rose she asked for on her head. He seemed to understand it a bit more if he thought about it like that now that he was serving her.

Freya Lindberg was the only way to break his master’s curse. The only way to escape this dreary, harsh land. It would have been natural for him to act a little impatient, but it didn’t seem that way at all.

He said he would go ahead with the union, but it seemed that he hadn’t set a date yet.

She had been sick until now, but now that she was feeling better, he could actively try to tame her. However, his attitude didn’t change much from before, so Erik couldn’t figure out at all what he was thinking.

That didn’t mean he was completely neglectful; he would at least check on how Freya Lindberg was doing.

He must be seeing through something someone like him wouldn’t know.

“The Lady said she wants to eat these dishes.”

When Erik arrived at the kitchen on the basement floor of the castle, he handed the chef the piece of paper where she had written the list.

The bearded chef’s face twisted violently. The chefs here not only had fierce expressions but also tough-looking appearances, so Erik secretly avoided coming here.

“I mean, aren’t these all dishes made with ingredients that aren’t commonly used here?”

Erik didn’t know.

According to the chef’s criticism, preparing these dishes was no different from getting the roses.

It was different however, since the food she wanted would help her fatten that skinny body.

“There’s no point in getting angry at me. These are the Master’s orders.”
