While I am very entertained by this, I’m still angry at erich for kicking ellin out the way he did like even if it was “for her own sake” or whatever excuse these characters tend to use, he knew she had no one else and would be devastated like of course she’s not going to trust him after that even if he was pretending! But I guess the author had to ruin his chances with her in order to force her into the emperors arms.
