Paul swept her hair and spoke with a clear tone.
“I’m not your closest friend, Reina. I’m the person closest to you.”

With her lips frowning slightly, Reina mulled over why he was so dead set on word choice now. But then, she just shrugged.
“Fine, closest person. You and I are the closest to each other.”
Perhaps it was a good enough answer for him. Now looking at her with a satisfied expression, he gently took a step back.
