The Unlikely Imprint of the Villainess and the Male Lead - Chapter 47
Chapter 47

Mary watched Lik accept the box she handed over without a word, then asked him nonchalantly,
“So, I guess you’re not inspecting the handkerchief anymore?”
Lik flinched. He squeezed his eyes shut, cringing at her subtle taunt.
If only it weren’t for my mistake…
He remembered the day he had been summoned to Richt’s office.
“Make sure to conduct yourself properly from now on to avoid any more rude behavior.”
Along with a light reprimand, Richt had given Lik new instructions, reducing him to feeling like the underdog in an instant.
I was just trying to tighten security as per his orders.
Lik’s intentions had been to thoroughly follow directions, but he hadn’t anticipated how this would lead to such a tiresome predicament.
“Not even going to answer me anymore, are you?”
“……”
“Ugh! My neck suddenly feels like it’s stinging…”
She dramatically clutched her neck, causing Lik to burst out without meaning to,
“I…!”
“Oh my, are you actually getting angry? That’s so scary. What if I faint from fright…?” she replied with exaggerated innocence, her large green eyes blinking at him, feigning shock.
“…I already apologized for the rudeness I committed that day.”
He reminded himself that Mary was a maid in a household that Richt held in some regard, so it wouldn’t do to raise his voice.
She was as troublesome as she looked, with her freckles and mischievous face, which seemed to revel in giving him a hard time.
Lik sighed as Mary hid a smile behind her hand, clearly amused at his predicament.
Still, if there was one silver lining, it was that her teasing usually didn’t last too long—unlike certain gossipy knights he knew.
I bet she’d get along with the gossip-mongers in the knight order.
Lik looked down at the crown of her head, which barely reached his chest, and, as she’d asked, he escorted her out.
“Such kindness! Well then, see you next time.”
“Take care.”
Bang!
‘What a funny woman.’
Rik responded to Mary’s casual compliment on his manners without missing a beat, then promptly shut the door.

A warm, soft feeling like a comforting embrace surrounded Richt, making him feel like he’d found a place of rest.
Is this… a lucid dream?
As soon as he realized he was dreaming, he heard a familiar voice nearby.
“Richt.”
“……!”
The affectionate tone in the way she called his name was undeniable.
“Milady…?”
Startled, he turned around to find a familiar pink-haired figure approaching, her sweet smile making his voice sound dazed.
“Why do you look so surprised?”
Luciana, hands clasped behind her back, tilted her head and closed the distance between them.
“Shouldn’t I be the one asking tha— ack! What are you doing right now…!”
“Got you!”
Fwump!
With catlike stealth, Luciana suddenly pounced and wrapped her arms around him, undeterred by his prickly response.
“Mmh, so warm.”
“……!”
She even let out a carefree chuckle.
Richt was completely thrown by her sudden hug and the affectionate way she approached him, so much so that he felt like fleeing.
“Look here!”
Despite her small frame, her grip was surprisingly strong.
Richt struggled to push away her arms, which clung to his waist like unyielding ropes, but it was no use—whether because it was a dream or otherwise, he couldn’t move her at all.
“Richt? You’re acting strange today. Usually, it’s you who’s the clingy one.”
“I don’t know what nonsense you’re talking about, and will you let go?”
The thin barrier of her light clothing did little to mask the warmth that emanated from her body, now so close to his.
Her small, soft figure was markedly different from his own.
“Oh? Your face is turning red.”
“W-What…!”
Seeing the tips of his ears flush like ripened apples, Luciana let out a soft laugh.
Richt, who had been on edge like a bristling animal, suddenly found himself stammering, his fierceness melting away in an amusing contrast to his otherwise intimidating appearance.
‘Damn it. Why is this happening?!’
