Because the Duke and the Crown Prince would be there. Selena swallowed her last words and patted Gabriella’s hand.

“So don’t worry about it. Please go to the hunt and have fun for me, Your Highness.”

“Thank you, lady. Dixon is actually going to be my escort this time. I’ll catch a rabbit for you!” Gabriella laughed brightly. Selena’s hand, which was patting her back, stopped.

If she leave Dominic and Gabriella alone, who knows what might happen. Driven by this sense of urgency, Selena impulsively decided to attend the hunt. The Crown Prince and the Duke haven’t proposed to her yet, and it’s not like anything bad will happen if she just meet them once.

“I’m so happy. I’ll stay right by your side so you won’t be inconvenienced by your injured arm.”

“Thank you.”

Judging from the Princess’s words, it seemed like she could easily separate her and Dominic if she just went to the hunt. Selena felt relieved. Even though she can’t escape her future husband, at least the Princess…

“I’ll make you the hunt goddess, lady.”

“I’m really okay, Your Highness.”

“Don’t say that. Just trust me. I’ll make you the goddess.” Gabriella patted her small chest. Strangely, it didn’t inspire confidence but rather anxiety, and Selena laughed in a state of enlightenment.

Once the decision to attend the hunt was finalized, Selena suddenly began to regret it. Of course, it was her duty as the representative of Serenade to go for the client, but even representatives are human… At least it seemed like the Tower Lord wouldn’t be attending the hunt, which was a relief. “Are you sure you’re okay with taking these clothes?” Lucy asked one last time, holding a dress that was just as good quality as the ones she wear but with a completely different design. They were going to spend the next four days in the Peran Forest in the south, where the hunt was taking place, so if she wanted to change her mind, now was the time.

“Of course, Lucy. I’m very happy with the clothes I chose. This dress I’m wearing is the only one I dislike, because I had to wear it to please my mother.” Selena whispered, cupping her hand around her mouth.

She had chosen all the clothes she would wear there to be plain, but since her parents were around now, she was dressed like a normal noble lady.

“Oh, my mom’s coming this way. Quickly load the luggage, Lucy.”

“Yes, lady.”

While Lucy loaded the trunk onto the carriage, Selena greeted her parents who were approaching.

“It’s been a while since you’ve attended the hunt. Have a good time, Selena.”

“Yes, there will be a lot of men your age there. See if you like anyone.” The Countess, who still hadn’t given up on Selena, held her hand and said.

“I’ll try to make some good friends.”

“Yes, a boyfriend.”

“Yes, a boy friend. Well, I’m going now. Mom, Dad!” Selena quickly got into the carriage with Lucy before her mother could start a long argument. She stuck her hand out the window and waved. The Countess watched the carriage slowly disappear, clicking her tongue.

“Oh, love comes unexpectedly. I wonder when and where my eldest daughter will meet her destined one.” Her soft murmur dissipated before it could reach the carriage, which was already a speck in the distance.
