The Omega Princess and Her Two Leashes - Chapter 64
Chapter 64
Enrique pulled away from her and looked around. He must have just remembered the Crown Prince. He carefully scanned the surroundings, but no matter how hard he looked, he couldn’t find Leybid.
“…Well, maybe he’s mingled somewhere, enjoying himself. He seemed to be very open-minded about cultural differences.”
Enrique mumbled, chuckling as he gave up on finding the Crown Prince. He leaned back towards Violet’s chest, then paused. Violet was looking around, just like he had been a moment ago.
“Are you looking for the Crown Prince too, Violet?”
Enrique’s tone was sharp, sensitive to jealousy. Violet flinched, hesitated, and said, “No. I just… I don’t see the Princess either…”
Enrique’s expression softened at that answer. He was a rare, kind alpha, and Violet seemed to like and care for Arlenrose quite a bit. If it had been another alpha, he might have been jealous, but Enrique, knowing the truth, didn’t mind.
“That kid probably ran off early. She often does that,” Enrique replied nonchalantly.
His younger sister, Arlenrose, pretended to be an alpha but was actually an omega. Because of that, she found the balls, where the alphas’ pheromones were strong, very difficult, and she would often run away without a word. Each time, Enrique would be furious and punish her severely.
It was only natural. To neglect her duties as a princess, simply unable to suppress her omega nature, her irresponsibility deserved a thorough scolding. Enrique couldn’t understand why she was so dramatic and overly sensitive. It was more than enough that she lived a life of privilege, receiving all sorts of benefits simply for being born into royalty, while contributing nothing to the kingdom, not even half of what he did.
If only she hadn’t been born an omega in the first place. Every time she blamed the world for her misfortune, Enrique felt a surge of intense irritation. The first blemish on the kingdom’s history, a stain on the royal family, a colossal and filthy disaster.
In truth, she shouldn’t have been allowed to live, but thanks to the mercy of the Fleurose royal family, she was spared. He, being a man of principle, had kept her alive and treated her with a degree of respect.
But would she ever understand the depth of his grace? Would she ever be grateful for the kindness she received?
Lost in thought, Enrique furrowed his brow, then paused. Violet was looking at him, her pale violet eyes flickering with anxiety.
“What’s wrong, Violet?”
“Nothing, Your Highness.”
“It doesn’t seem like nothing. Tell me,” Enrique urged her, his expression stern. Violet hesitated, then finally bowed her head and replied in a small voice.
“No, it’s just… I’m worried that Your Highness might punish Her Highness the Princess again…”
“That again.”
Enrique sighed, his expression softening.
Violet particularly disliked it when he punished Arlenrose. Her stated reason was that it pained her to see him treat his own blood so harshly, but it was also due to her affection for Arlenrose.
Even if that wasn’t the case, it was a natural reaction. His beloved omega was so kind and delicate that she would feel sorry even if she saw a single insect die.
Moreover, Violet was completely unaware that Arlenrose was an omega, so she had no idea why he was so harsh towards her.
Because of Violet’s reactions, Enrique sometimes refrained from punishing Arlenrose. Of course, he did punish her most of the time, but today…
“It’s alright today. She did well.”
Enrique smiled, recalling the sight of Arlenrose dancing with the Crown Prince.
Although she had fled again, unable to endure it, she had done well at today’s ball, unlike usual. It was enough to commend her for fulfilling her duties as a princess, rather than just sitting and smiling.
“Really?”
“Yes. Haven’t I always told you? I don’t punish her because I hate her. A monarch must be equal to all, so I cannot refrain from punishing a princess who neglects her duties, even if she is my own blood. Therefore, if she does well, like today, it’s naturally fine.”
Violet, her face brightening, smiled shyly and embraced Enrique.
“I see. I’m too lowly to think that far. Your Highness is truly magnificent.”
“Magnificent, you say. It’s simply the mindset that a future monarch should possess,” Enrique replied nonchalantly, but the corners of his lips curled upwards. His head was now buried in Violet’s chest, her top fully exposed. His hand, moving downwards, grasped the hem of her skirt and pulled it up. It seemed he intended to go all the way this time, a rare occurrence for him.
As Enrique’s hand, swift as a snake, slipped between her legs…
“I told you not to ignore me!”
A shout rang out from somewhere.
