The Omega Princess and Her Two Leashes - Chapter 52
Chapter 52
The dance cultures of the Luversiana Empire and the Fleurose Kingdom were different. In the Empire, where marriage existed, it was one of the ways for alphas to choose their omega spouses, so it had the meaning of courtship. On the other hand, in the Kingdom, where there was no such thing as marriage, it was simply a form of entertainment enjoyed by alphas.
This cultural difference was something that both countries were constantly amazed by. The Empire scoffed at the idea of alphas dancing body to body with each other, while the Kingdom scoffed at the idea of alphas dancing with mere, lowly omegas as equals.
It was the Crown Prince of the Empire who had taken the initiative to understand and experience this cultural difference. Publicly, it was an amicable choice, and objectively, it was an extremely courageous move. There was no reason to refuse.
“Ah…”
As Arlenrose froze in embarrassment, Enrique’s elbow nudged her waist. It was a sign to accept the request.
In the end, Arlenrose smiled as wide as she could.
“I would be honored, Your Imperial Highness.”
As the first dance between the Crown Prince of the Empire and the Crown Princess of the Kingdom, it naturally became the main event of the day. With everyone’s attention on them, Arlenrose was led by Leybid’s hand to the center of the hall.
As the two of them stopped, the melody played by the orchestra changed. As they stood facing each other during the introduction of the song, their eyes met with different temperatures.
“Hmm… Shall we dance?”
With a slight tilt of his head, Leybid asked with a smile in his eyes, a flawlessly elegant smile playing on Arlenrose’s lips in response.
“Let’s mind our own steps, shall we?”
Their voices were low enough not to be heard by those standing at a distance, considering the flow of movement. From afar, anyone watching would have thought they were exchanging friendly words.
“Oh, are you trying to step on me?”
“With all my might.”
“Alright, this feels like a game, and it’s fun.”
Leybid’s smile deepened. It was a typical response from him, his mind driven by curiosity. Arlenrose put her weight on her feet. She hadn’t intended to actually step on him, but this had ignited her competitive spirit.
As the introduction of the music ended, Arlenrose took the first step. Leybid supported her as she twirled, tilting his head. Their faces, now close, broke into playful smiles before they moved apart.
“Oh, dear.”
The moment the distance that had grown between them narrowed again, Arlenrose’s foot lashed out fiercely. Leybid narrowly avoided being stepped on, and instead, it was Arlenrose who lost her balance and stumbled. He caught her and naturally spun her around before setting her down.
“Well, the first attempt was a failure.”
“Damn it.”
While Arlenrose was expressing her annoyance, his arm brushed against her shoulder, then moved away again, maintaining a natural flow of movement throughout.
“You dance well.”
Leybid winked at Arlenrose’s sincere compliment.
“Well, I’ve been dancing since I was a child, so I’ve had my fill. But you’re doing quite well yourself, Princess.”
“Well, I’m good at most things I do with my body.”
“Even in bed.”
Arlenrose tried to step on him again, but Leybid narrowly avoided it once more. In the narrowed space, they both smiled without a word. Unlike the fierce battle taking place below, the dance they were performing on the surface was impeccably graceful.
“Is there anything else I did in bed? While Your Highness was having fun and falling asleep alone, I was just lying there.”
Leybid’s expression turned serious at the sarcastic remark thrown nonchalantly.
“What are you talking about? Don’t be so humble. I rarely come across someone with the strength to endure my relentless thrusts while remaining in a prone position.”
He had to say it. Arlenrose gritted her teeth and spun around.
Meanwhile, below, they had attempted to attack a few more times, but Leybid had dodged each time. He had thought bringing up this topic might make her less vigilant, but it had only served to worsen Arlenrose’s mood.
Unlike Arlenrose, who was seething with anger, Leybid seemed to be simply enjoying himself.
“Isn’t the situation quite interesting, though?”
“What do you mean?”
“On the surface, it looks like I’m learning the kingdom’s culture of alphas dancing with alphas, but in reality, it’s just an alpha and an omega dancing according to the empire’s culture.”
Arlenrose held back a sigh at his lighthearted remark.
“It must be interesting for Your Highness.”
“As long as I’m the only one who finds it interesting and fun, what more could I ask for?”
He had to say it again. Arlenrose turned her head sharply as she was led by Leybid, who pulled her arm across the gap that had opened between them. Leaning close, Leybid whispered to her,
“Dancing with the Princess like this makes me wonder…”
