“No, those are the muscles of a swordsman.”

“Is Your Majesty perhaps a connoisseur of muscles?”

“I don’t need to study them to know that much about someone who wields a sword.”

“You might not know as much as you think. You don’t exactly strike me as a muscle expert.”

Arlenrose smiled gracefully like a glass rose as she countered. Her expression and tone were so refined that one might not notice the sarcasm at first glance.

“If you’re going to offer your own muscles as proof against your outlandish claim, then by all means, go ahead.”

“Ah, proof.”

Leybid laughed, his lips curling. Arlenrose, who was staring straight at him, still showed no sign of agitation. Only her sapphire eyes sparkled brilliantly.

“Right. No proof.”

“Of course not. Because it’s not true.”

Arlenrose shrugged indifferently at the remark.

“Why would an alpha born into royalty be dissatisfied enough to become the leader of a revolutionary group?”

“Well.”

Leybid’s unsmiling eyes scanned Arlenrose thoroughly.

“You might not be an alpha.”

“What other absurd claim are you going to make?”

“Why do you think I came here in person for this matter?”

“I believe I mentioned earlier that I wondered about that myself.”

“I would be pissed if you were an omega.”

The corners of her elegantly upturned lips quivered slightly at those words. Hoping that Leybid hadn’t noticed the minute change, Arlenrose simply smiled.

“Would you? Why is that?”

Instead of answering, Leybid took a step closer. Arlenrose felt a surge of aversion and a sense of foreboding and tried to take a step back, but then she stopped, thinking that even that might betray her agitation.

“As you know, Princess, my Luversiana Empire is desperate to find a weakness in the Kingdom of Fleurose as we approach peace negotiations.”

“You’re quite blunt about it, aren’t you?”

“There’s no point in beating around the bush when we both know it’s true. Anyway, we’ve been investigating the Kingdom of Fleurose thoroughly… and we’ve discovered something peculiar.”

Leybid narrowed his eyes as he raised his fingers and ran them over his lips as if in interest.

“A large quantity of pheromone suppressants has been secretly entering the Fleurose royal palace.”

Arlenrose held her breath. She felt like any sound she made now would betray her agitation. Meanwhile, Leybid took another step closer.

“Why on earth would the royal family need pheromone suppressants, Princess?”

“Well, this is the first I’ve heard of it…”

“Why wouldn’t you know? The answer is right before my eyes.”

And then one step closer.

“The answer is that despite being a royal, an omega has been suppressing their pheromones with a large amount of suppressants, making them appear as a recessive alpha.”

Leybid laughed, looking down at Arlenrose from a distance close enough to reach out and touch. Arlenrose struggled to suppress a gasp.

“What the…?”

“I had high expectations, but seeing you in person, they’ve been surpassed.”

“I don’t understand. Why would you have expectations?”

“Of course I would. A princess who was born an omega but pretends to be an alpha, just hearing about it is tantalizing.”

Leybid whispered, gently touching the tip of Arlenrose’s chin with his finger.

“I thought you’d be quite special, different from other omegas.”

That piece of trash. Swallowing the torrent of curses that were rising, Arlenrose stared straight at him. Fortunately, her lips were still smiling.

“So that’s why you came here in person?”

“Yes. I thought it would be fun.”

“I suppose the Crown Prince of Luversiana has quite a lot of free time on his hands. To think you would waste it on such a trivial matter.”

“Well, whether it’s trivial or not, we’ll soon find out.”

“Why, are you going to make another baseless and outrageous claim?”

“Do I need proof?”

Leybid took another step closer. As the distance between them grew uncomfortably small, Arlenrose took a step back.

“Let’s just confirm this.”

Her back soon met the wall. Leybid, who had taken a single step forward, pressed his body against Arlenrose, trapping her between himself and the wall.

“W-what…!”

Leybid lowered his hand and fumbled between her legs. Arlenrose kicked in alarm, but his hand pushed relentlessly forward, delving deep inside.

“Your Highness! What is the meaning of this impertinence!”

Arlenrose’s face paled as she shouted in anger, but Leybid merely chuckled.

“Why are you so flustered? If the Princess is not truly an omega, then there’s no reason to refuse, is there? It wouldn’t matter between two alphas.”

“It would matter… Ugh!”

“Very well. If the Princess is an alpha, then I shall apologize. Will that suffice?”

Arlenrose’s mouth, which had been about to scream, was clamped shut by Leybid’s other hand. Arlenrose’s eyes widened as she realized that she had been completely overpowered.

“Hush, I’ll just check to see what we have here and then I’ll let you go. Okay?”

Coaxing her like a child, Leybid rubbed his hand over her g*nitals. His movements were persistent and relentless. However, no matter how much he groped, it was difficult to discern the shape of what was concealed by the dress and undergarments by touch alone.

“It seems I have no choice but to confirm with my own eyes, then?”

Leybid clicked his tongue in disappointment and smiled lasciviously. The crimson eyes that met his wavered for the first time.
