Stella smiled at Leah and then clamped her mouth shut. After rolling around on the bed for a moment, she turned her attention back to the books.

‘These children’s books are useless.’

Most of the children’s fairy tale books she had featured fearsome dragons or evil villains who put the prince and princess in danger, leading them to fall in love. Dragons only existed in legends, and no villains could get into this northern castle with its ironclad security, so there was no chance Ignis would be in danger.

‘My brother won’t be in trouble with villains either. Phew.’

Unable to come up with any solutions, the child buried her face in the pillow.

‘What should I do? Maybe I should visit the library.’

Finishing her thoughts, Stella sprang up from the bed. Leah naturally stretched out her arms, but Stella stroked her head with an apologetic expression.

“I’ll be right back. Just wait here for a moment.”

In response, Leah made an X shape and bounced up and down on the bed.

Stella found Leah’s behavior so adorable that she hesitated for a moment, but she pressed her lips together, determined to go through with the grand plan to get Ignis and Karentina married.

And so, when Gemma and Joseph couldn’t be seen outside the door, she tiptoed out of the room and headed straight for the library at the end of the hallway. When she first arrived in the north, the Duke of Lorraine had created a small library for her, filled with various books, including children’s books, so she wouldn’t be bored.

It was her first time going to the library alone, but she mustered up the courage, opened the door, and went in. Seeing the brightly lit room made of magic stones, Stella let out a sigh of relief.

‘This time, let’s look for books other than fairy tales!’

Stella began to rummage through the wooden bookshelves, which were adjusted to her eye level.

“What’s this…?”

At that moment, she discovered a book displayed like a treasure in one corner.

“’99 Ways to Be a Beloved Older Brother to Your Younger Sister’?”

At the thought that Duke Lorraine was just like Ignis, Stella shook her head and pushed the strange book to a corner.

‘No matter how much I search, there’s no book with the content I want.’

She didn’t gain much from the library.

Stella pursed her lips, grabbed two other children’s books she hadn’t read yet, and left the library.

At first, the Duke’s castle had seemed frightening, but now she was no longer afraid at all, perhaps because she had become a bit more accustomed to it.

‘I guess I’ve grown up.’

Stella, who thought she would go back to her room with a proud expression and quickly find a solution, stopped walking. It was because she could hear the voices of the servants coming up the stairs softly in the distance.

‘My brother told me to always go out with Gemma and Joseph… but I’m still scared of others.’

She hesitated and then hid behind a large marble pillar.

‘I should’ve come with Leah.’

As the maids’ voices grew closer, her hands trembled while holding the fairy tale books close to her chest.

“Isn’t it great that the butler has changed?”

“Yes. At first, I was scared because it was a doll made by the young lady, but he’s so handsome.”

The two maids clasped their hands to their faces as if dreaming.

“According to Gilbert, he’s also nice to the male employees.”

The other maid raised her eyebrows with a meaningful expression and smirked.

“Be honest with me. Is there something going on with Gilbert?”

The maid who had mentioned Gilbert blushed.

“Honestly, you’re so perceptive… I haven’t even confessed yet. We just went to the Cocoel Forest together.”

The maid who had heard this lightly nudged the blushing maid with her elbow.

“If you went to the Cocoel Forest, then you’ve already told us everything. How far did things progress?”

“An elk suddenly appeared, and we couldn’t do anything…”

The blushing maid’s words trailed off as if she was embarrassed.

‘An elk?’

Stella recalled that an elk was a deer with large antlers, which she had seen in an illustrated book full of animals.

“I was so scared that my body was shaking, and Gilbert even held my hand. No wonder it’s called the Lovers’ Forest.”

As she listened to the maids’ giggles and laughter, a brilliant idea suddenly flashed in her mind.

‘The Lovers’ Forest?’

It seemed that going to the Cocoel Forest was a place where a person would experience the suspension bridge effect and develop feelings of affection that Joseph had talked about.

The child concluded as she listened to the maids’ conversation.

‘I’m going to go to the Cocoel Forest with my brother and Karen!’

After finishing her thoughts, Stella stamped her foot in a hurry. She couldn’t hear the rest of their conversation as she slipped back into her room, stepping so quietly that the maids couldn’t see her.

“They say people who have unrequited love don’t visit the Cocoel Forest for no reason.”

The maid nodded.

“Yeah. Still, you were lucky it was an elk. There are also bears there.”
