As Dantes showered her with kisses, he whispered sweetly,
“Alexis, if you stand with humanity, every person on this earth will worship you like a goddess. And I will make you my queen, I promise.”
“But… what about Lady Isabella?”
Dantes was engaged to another. That’s why Alexis had desperately hidden her love for him, though it hadn’t worked very well.
