The Eldest Daughter Walks Down The Flower Path - Chapter 273
Chapter 273

—
Elvern Roschilde was truly a despicable human being, frequently causing trouble with women.
During a time when visits to the squad members were prohibited, Noeri Fraser, disguised as a maid to secretly visit her brother, caught his eye.
Naturally, Noeri fiercely resisted, and when Thierry, who had been searching for his sister, witnessed the scene, he lost control and killed Elvern Roschilde.
Robert intended to prevent that incident from happening at all.
Sure enough, while inspecting the backyard of the training ground, he spotted a rough-looking man struggling with a small maid.
Robert immediately rushed in and rammed the man’s cowardly back with his shoulder.
“Ugh!”
The man tumbled to the ground. Robert grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and hoisted him up.
“Elvern Roschilde?”
Covered in mud, Elvern Roschilde spat out dirt and shouted,
“Yes! I’m Elvern Roschilde! You… You bastard, who the hell are you?!”
After a brief moment of thought, Robert spoke.
“My name is Heron Roderick.”
“W-What? Roderick? Why’s a Roderick here…?”
“Remember this.”
Robert punched Elvern Roschilde’s face with a fist as solid as a stone, repeating his words.
“I am Heron Roderick.”
“Argh!”
“I am the firstborn son of Franz Roderick.”
“Ugh!”
“You dared to block the path of the heir of the Roderick family, so you deserve this beating.”
“Guuh!”
“If you have any complaints, come find me at the Roderick family.”
“Aaaagh…!”
“And by the time you come looking for me, I’ll have lost a lot of weight from malnutrition, so I’ll be a bit smaller. Anyway, I’m Heron Roderick.”
“……”
Robert set the unconscious and battered Elvern Roschilde down on the ground and thought to himself,
‘Being around His Excellency must have rubbed off on me a bit. It’s not bad.’
With the smoke screen laid, it was now time for retribution. Robert took a deep breath and stomped the back of his boot between Elvern Roschilde’s legs.
Even in his unconscious state, as his most vital part was destroyed, Elvern Roschilde let out a guttural, pig-like scream.
After dealing with something that was better off not existing in this world, Robert wiped his boot off on Elvern Roschilde’s cloak, feeling slightly uneasy. Then, he turned to the maid, Noeri.
“Are you alright?”
Noeri looked up at him with wide, startled eyes. Robert was also surprised when he saw her.
‘A female Thierry?’
At that moment, Noeri swayed.
“Oh…!”
Robert caught her arm. She then leaned into him, resting against his arm.
“Lord Heron, I was so scared…!”
Robert kindly corrected her.
“I’m not actually Heron Roderick. I used a false name to avoid getting mixed in. My real name is Robert.”
“Oh, what a wonderful name…!”
“It’s just a common name. My mother gave it to me.”
“No, it suits you so well…!”
Noeri whispered as she gently rested her head against his firm, broad chest.
“Lord Robert, you saved me from that pervert’s clutches…!”
Just then, they heard the sound of someone running toward them from behind.
“Get away from my sister!”
Robert swung his sword, still in its sheath, knocking Thierry to the ground as he charged toward them.
“You always lose your temper without thinking…!”
Robert was about to scold Thierry when Noeri let go of his hand and ran over to smack Thierry on the head.
“How dare you wave something so dangerous around?”
“But Sister! That punk…!”
“You idiot! What do you mean ‘that punk’!”
Noeri continued smacking Thierry’s head as she shouted,
“Lord Robert saved me from that pervert who was harassing me, you know?”
“Oh, really? Is that what happened?”
“Hurry up and apologize!”
Thierry awkwardly got to his feet and bowed his head deeply, embarrassed.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t realize…”
Robert pointed at the sword Thierry had dropped.
“Pick that up.”
“Huh?”
“Even a three-year-old doesn’t drop what’s in his hands so easily.”
“Ugh…!”
“When you draw your sword, you should properly assess your opponent. Swinging a sword around like it’s a needle might be enough to scare off that pervert, but it won’t be enough to take down a single wolf.”
“Uuugh…!”
Thierry’s face turned red with shame. Robert stared intently at the youthful face of the comrade with whom he had shared life and death in their past life.
The Thierry before him was very different from the one in his memories. His face, free of shadows, was clear and noble, and his blue eyes, which had never faced a true test of pride, shone with aristocratic dignity.
Thierry had no idea that he had just narrowly avoided the biggest trap of his life. That was better for him.
Unlike those who would eventually fall into ruin and be dragged away somewhere else if Robert didn’t intervene, Thierry had a bright future ahead of him.
