Refusing Your Ex-Husband's Obsession: A Guide - Side Story 17
Side Story 17

—
When Ciel woke up in the morning, he first checked on Irene, who was sleeping with her head on his arm, breathing softly, naked.
He had tormented her persistently the night before, leaving deliberate red marks that stood out starkly against her particularly pale skin.
“Mmh…”
Without waking her, he slipped out of bed first. His muscular body looked incredibly firm to the naked eye, with his strong legs and buttocks accentuating his curves with every step he took.
Over his broad, inverted-triangle back, just as he had left red marks of possession on her, there were red lines left by Irene, full of her own marks of possession.
“Haa…”
He quietly washed up to avoid waking her and went downstairs without calling for the chief butler.
“Your Highness!”
“Is everything almost ready?”
“Yes, almost there.”
“Good. Make sure everything is properly loaded, and prepare a breakfast that can be eaten in bed.”
“Yes, Milord.”
While waiting for breakfast, he lightly trained in the training grounds, swinging his sword to clear his mind before washing up in another bathroom on a different floor.
“I shall bring this to the Madam.”
“No, I want to give it to my wife myself.”
“Yes, understood.”
He personally carried the tray up to the fifth floor. Using his wind ability to quietly open the bedroom door, he floated the tray towards the still-sleeping Irene and sat down on the bed.
“Honey, wake up.”
“…Mnnh.”
“We need to get up early today. We have to leave soon.”
He smiled at Irene, who hid under the covers instead of waking up, remembering how she used to wake up earlier than him in the past.
“Hmm.”
Now that he thought about it, she seemed to have gotten up early before their marriage too… but seemed to have developed a habit of sleeping in since moving to the grand ducal residence.
“Maybe you’ve been accumulating fatigue…”
They had been busy since their honeymoon, and it wouldn’t be surprising if she was exhausted. Plus, she had been working non-stop since returning to the castle. She deserved to rest.
“Perhaps it’s better to leave a bit later.”
He decided to eat the breakfast he brought for himself. It could be made again. Nothing was more important than his wife’s health.
He placed the food on a table and tucked Irene into the bed more comfortably.
Then, he gently kissed her face, which was peeking out from the covers, then sat at the table nearby.
Just as he had lifted the pitcher of ice water, Irene woke up.
“Mmh… When did you wake up?”
Her voice, hoarse from sleep, sounded alluring.
“You’re awake? I was going to let you sleep more.”
“Haahm… Why am I so sleepy?”
He approached and sat down on the bed again.
“If you’re sleepy, just sleep more.”
“But I have to get up…”
Irene managed to sit up, leaning weakly against the bed’s headboard.
“My body feels so sluggish. Maybe it’s because it’s winter.”
“That’s possible. You’ve been so active since our honeymoon, too. It’s time to rest, especially before spring when we’ll be busy again… visiting the estate and such.”
“That’s true…”
“First, let’s have breakfast, and if you’re still sleepy afterward, you can sleep more.”
“…Okaay.”
Ciel floated the tray still in the air directly to her lap, but Irene raised her hand.
“What’s wrong?”
“…J-Just a moment—”
“Honey?”
As the food neared, she felt increasingly nauseous. The nausea turned into retching as soon as the food was placed on her lap.
“Uurp…”
“Rin?”
“Urpp!”
“Honey!”
