Erich said this in the past tense.

Louisa just blankly looked up at Erich hearing his assessment. Erich held out his hand and declared with an icy sternness, without raising her up or changing his expression.

“I hereby deprive you, Mother, of the Klausener peerage. You are much too immoral to use that name.”

“That, that… What are you talking about! That is nonsense!”

“I am the head of the household, Mother.”

Erich replied briefly to the trembling Louisa.

Although times are different from before, his authority in the family was still absolute.
