Albert looked up at her while kneeling. It was rare for Jung-in to look down at Albert, making the situation feel unfamiliar. Her heart pounded with excitement.
Albert took her hand and kissed the back of it.
“Your hands, too, are beautiful.”
Then his lips moved to her leg.
“Your legs too.”
“……”
“Your fingers, your voice, everything about you.”
His voice grew lower.
“There’s nothing about you that isn’t beautiful.”
Albert finally stood and placed his hand over her eyelids, gently closing her eyes.
Everything grew darker, making her senses more acute. She could feel the desire in his voice more intensely.
Gently, she was laid down on the soft bed. When she opened her eyes, Albert’s face was right above hers.
“I will serve you with reverence until morning.”
His eyes twinkled playfully.
“I hope you find it pleasing, my lady.”
And thus, they became one.

As soon as Mercy returned to the magic tower, she holed up in her room.

Having made up her mind, she wanted to convey her feelings before Schubert changed his mind. She knew how long he had waited for her.

‘First, buy lingerie tomorrow… Then get some alcohol… Maybe rent out an entire restaurant to set up the scene.’
Alternatively, she could learn to cook from Seo Ina and prepare the meal herself. Watching Jung-in learn to cook made it seem like a good idea.
“Alright, I’ll start preparing tomorrow and confess next week.”
“Confess what?”
“GAHHHH!”
Mercy nearly fell over at the sudden voice from behind her. Thankfully, Schubert caught her before she hit the ground.
“I knocked on the door so many times, but there was no response. What were you thinking about so deeply?”
Schubert frowned and tilted his head.
“Hmm, are you feeling unwell?”
Mercy had been so lost in thought that she hadn’t noticed Schubert entering the room.
‘Where was my mind wandering off to?’
She took a deep breath, closed her eyes tightly, and then opened them again.
“No, I’m fine. What brings you here?”
“Oh, Duke Liam contacted me to say we should head up to the north together. I came to inform you in advance.”
“The north…? When? Why?”
But I was going to confess! I had everything planned perfectly for next week!
‘This will mess up my plan!’
Mercy inwardly screamed.
Surprised by her intense reaction, Schubert quickly answered.
“Well, it’s been a while since we’ve been to the north. He thought it would be good to talk to the people there and suggested we go.”
