It's Not Night - Chapter 195.2
The news that the only daughter of Avelin was dating the third son of Airak, Dustin, spread uncontrollably. Along with it came the news that they were currently heading east to seek approval from both families. By the time the three of them arrived in the east, the entire empire had already heard of it.
The carriage stopped in front of the Avelin estate. The soldiers stationed there prevented them from entering any further.
Andra knew very well who had blocked their path. There was only one person who could command such a number of soldiers within the Avelin estate.
“Andra.”
“Father.”
Albert rode up to the front of the carriage. Ian naturally stepped aside, allowing Andra to face her father. Their blue eyes locked in a silent exchange.
Albert’s gaze shifted to Dustin, who was standing behind Andra. His once gentle eyes quickly hardened into something much colder.
Albert then spoke to the knights behind him.
“Take Lord Airak away.”

Andra couldn’t stay still in one place and nervously paced in front of the door. It had already been ten days since she had been confined to the estate and was separated from Dustin.
During those ten days, Andra hadn’t been able to meet her father, Albert. He had been too busy to see her, using that as an excuse.
But today, she finally received a positive sign from the butler. The nanny, who had gone to request an audience with Albert on Andra’s behalf, rushed into the room, breathless.
“Miss!”
Andra turned her head toward the nanny. The nanny quickly called out.
“He’s coming now!”
“Really?”
“Yes, hurry up and get ready!”
As soon as the nanny finished speaking, Andra kicked the door open and hurried down the hallway. She had prepared everything early this morning to meet Albert.
She carefully got down to the third floor, where the head of the family’s office was located, trying not to make any noise with her heels. The nanny followed her at a brisk pace.
“The master is waiting.”
A butler was waiting outside the office. He gave Andra a faint smile and opened the door for her. When she glanced back, she saw the nanny giving her a supportive look.
“Miss, you can do this!”
Taking a deep breath, Andra carefully entered the room. The door closed softly behind her.
The quiet office was bathed in sunlight. Albert, standing by the desk with his hands clasped behind his back, was gazing out the window.
Andra tensed up at the coldness she saw in her father’s posture, a sight that had been rare for her. She straightened her back and called out to him.
“Father.”
“Sit in the chair in front.”
Following Albert’s instructions, Andra obediently sat in the chair prepared for her. Had it not been for the current situation, she might have comfortably sat and chatted with her father as she usually did.
Only then did Albert turn to face Andra. He also sat down in his own seat and spoke.
“Well, it’s been a while. How was the south?”
“It was nice. I’d like to go back if I get the chance.”
“I’m glad to hear that. I hope it was a good experience for you.”
The conversation began just like any other, a casual exchange between a father and daughter. Nothing had changed between them.
“Actually, Ansel has been worrying about you so much that he sent me a letter nagging me. When you see him next, tell him how well you did in the south.”
“Ansel still needs to learn not to worry so much. He treats me like a child even though I’m an adult now.”
“I can’t say I completely disagree with him, but he does it all for your sake, so try not to scold him too much.”
“I know. I’m always grateful to Ansel.”
The conversation paused for a moment. Andra looked down at her hands resting on her lap.
