I Think I’m a Horror Game Villain - Chapter 63
Chapter 63
The water rose higher and higher, reaching my ankles.
“What should we do?”
My heart pounded with anxiety as the water continued to rise. My mind went blank, and I could only move my feet aimlessly.
Suddenly, a system message appeared.
[System] ‘Jessie’ is laughing at your predicament.
What does that mean? Jessie is here?
I looked around the room to find Jessie, but I couldn’t see anyone but Dekir and myself.
‘There’s no way a system message would pop up for no reason.’
It was good that I thought of that, but how do I find Jessie?
She must be watching me from somewhere in this room. But I can’t see her right now.
Well, of course I can’t see her, she’s a ghost.
Wait a minute.
A thought suddenly occurred to me.
‘Can’t a ghost find Jessie?’
I checked my inventory.
[Inventory]
– Bloody knife
– Suspicious poison
– Severed wrist
– Collected water
The severed wrist was sitting quietly in my inventory. I decided to take it out and ask for help.
But before that.
“Dekir.”
I called out to Dekir cautiously.
“Yes? Why are you calling me?”
“Are you on my side?”
“Yes.”
“Even if I do something bad?”
“What do you mean by something bad? What exactly are you talking about?”
“Even if I become friendly with ghosts, or… or suddenly pretend to threaten you… will you still believe me?”
The reason I asked this question was simple.
‘Is it okay to take out the severed wrist in front of Dekir?’
I wasn’t sure if it was okay to take out the severed wrist.
Dekir said he would be on my side even after hearing that I was the villain. He even believed the outrageous story that I came from another world without a doubt.
But I was still worried.
What if his feelings towards me changed a little if he saw the severed wrist following me like a puppy?
It would be different if I simply said that I was the villain and actually saw a ghost following me.
His ruby-colored eyes flickered slowly, as if surprised by my unexpected question. He hesitated for a moment before answering with determination.
“Yes. Even if Heyna really tries to kill me, I’ll be on your side until the end.”
“….”
His voice was serious and unwavering. My throat tightened knowing that his words were not empty.
Why was this man giving me so much affection? I’m going to leave this place anyway.
“But I still prefer a happy ending to a sad ending, so I’d like to be with Heyna until the end.”
After finishing his sentence, he let out a short sigh.
“But that’s going to be difficult. You have to go back to your original world.”
His eyes distorted as if he was remembering something he didn’t want to remember.
Dekir continued with a slightly bitter smile.
“My wish won’t come true… but as long as you’re happy, that’s enough. It’s okay.”
My heart ached.
“Thank you, Dekir.”
Feeling both gratitude and sorry for him, I took out the severed wrist from my inventory.
“Heyna, that’s…”
Dekir’s eyes trembled when he saw the severed wrist. He looked very surprised, but his suspicion didn’t rise. His words that he would believe me and be on my side no matter what, were indeed sincere.
“It’s a ghost that was wandering around the mansion’s hallway. Somehow, it ended up in my inventory. I don’t know exactly, but I think it was quite close to the previous Heyna.”
“…I see.”
“It doesn’t look like a bad ghost, though.”
The severed wrist gently curled its index finger and lightly flicked its middle and ring fingers. It looked as if a gentleman was politely greeting someone.
Dekir waved his hand with a trembling face.
[System] ‘Severed wrist that is looking for its owner’ is pleased.
“Yes, its glad to meet you too.”
I said to the severed hand which was tap dancing. “Severed hand, do you happen to know where Jessie is in this room?”
The severed hand swiveled its wrist around as if looking around the room, then wiggled its fingers.
Of course! As a fellow ghost, it can see Jessie.
“Then…” I whispered, lowering my voice so that Jessie, who I couldn’t see hiding somewhere in the room, wouldn’t hear. “Can you catch Jessie for me?”
The severed hand wiggled its fingers again in response and ran off. And…
“Whoa, what, what is this!”
A snow-white hand fluttered in the air. I couldn’t see it, but I could tell that the severed hand was attached to Jessie.
“No, let go of this!”
With a scream of terror, the hidden Jessie gradually came into view. Jessie was struggling to remove the severed hand that was attached to her shoulder.
“That’s enough. Thank you, hand.”
The severed hand scurried back to me.
“Why are you carrying that creepy thing around with you!”
She had dark red hair that was almost brown and a face full of freckles. She was dressed in white pajamas, not a maid’s uniform.
“Jessie, do you remember when you met me before?”
