I Think I’m a Horror Game Villain - Chapter 140
Chapter 140
He lifted her hand, soft as a newborn’s, and placed it against his cheek. Closing his eyes, he savored the warmth radiating from her palm, a languid smile spreading across his face.
“Even just touching like this makes my heart race.”
He placed another fleeting kiss on her wrist, where he could feel the quickened pulse, and then rested his face against her neck. Her slender neck seemed so fragile, he felt he could break it with the slightest pressure.
He traced the blush creeping down her neck with a gently raised finger, then tilted his head back, glancing sideways to gauge her reaction. Her eyes, wide moments before, were now tightly closed. He could see her eyelids twitching with every hot breath she drew from deep within. Heyna’s face was flushed crimson, and she seemed utterly flustered.
Dekir watched her adorable reaction for a long moment, imprinting it in his memory. “And because just this isn’t enough…” he finally murmured, pressing his lips to her neck. He felt her tense body flinch as his cool lips met her most delicate skin.
“I sometimes want to keep you locked away, so no one can take you from me.”
“Hng…” The faint moan that escaped her lips sent a tremor through Dekir’s self-control. Such a reaction to a mere kiss. What sounds would she make if he did more? ‘Would she still be this submissive then?’ Heyna would push him away one moment, then become flustered and receptive the next. The ambiguous line she drew between them was agonizing.
Dekir longed for Heyna to open her heart and accept him willingly. ‘My initial intentions… weren’t this pure.’ His feelings had been closer to possessiveness—a desire to break her and keep her, if he couldn’t have her otherwise. How had he come to crave love like a child? Unconsciously, he parted his lips, his teeth grazing her skin, as if wanting to mark her untouched body. ‘Not yet…’ He regained control and pulled away. ‘I’ve waited this long. I can’t ruin it now.’ Dekir was certain Heyna felt the same way. Even now, if she didn’t, she could simply push him away. He was frustrated by her ambiguous hesitation, but…
‘I’ll wait.’
He would wait until the oblivious, timid Heyna confessed her love. The faint red mark he left would soon fade. Dekir straightened, pushing down his regret.
“Heyna,” he said softly. Her lowered lashes lifted, and her jewel-bright eyes met his directly. “Rose likes Tommy. Tommy likes Rose. And I…”
“….”
“…love you.”
Having spoken his true feelings, Dekir silently repeated the words he had first spoken to her: There’s no reason for love. He wanted to say those words to himself as well. There was no reason for these feelings. He didn’t need a reason to love Heyna, and this emotion, too dirty and messy to be called love, was still, ultimately, love.

Where Dekir’s lips had touched, my skin burned. The heat spread through my veins, making me feel like I was melting. As I stared at him, speechless, Dekir gave me his gentle smile. “And…” he began, his voice playful. “Friends don’t do this.”
“….”
I knew that. I hadn’t resisted when his soft lips touched my cheek and neck. Not because I couldn’t, but because I didn’t want to. Because I didn’t dislike it. The way his hand had caressed my lips and traced my neck, the cool press of his lips, both bold and hesitant, his warm breath and the intoxicating woodsy scent that made my head spin—I didn’t dislike any of it. No, I liked it. When his lips left my cheek, I felt a pang of disappointment. If I told him that for a fleeting moment I had wished his lips had met mine instead, what expression would he make?
My heart swelled with anticipation, and my mouth moved of its own accord. “Deki, I…!” I was about to reveal a sliver of my uncertain feelings when I froze. I had met Zion’s snake-like golden eyes, gleaming in the darkness. ‘Zion…? When did he wake up?’ His gaze, sharp and predatory like a roused beast, sent a shiver down my spine. He stared at me, his expression unchanging, even though he knew I had seen him. ‘Why is he looking at me like that?’ His frozen face made my skin crawl.
Then, something appeared above his head. ♥♥♥♥♥ Five red hearts, indicating affection. Why five? I had lowered his affection by one, it should be four. I hadn’t done anything to raise his affection. There hadn’t even been a notification. ‘Zeon’s been acting strange ever since I maxed out his affection.’
As that thought crossed my mind, the leftmost red heart turned black, as if rotting.
