Chapter 1

“Mom, dad, Roseliaaaa, sniff, sob…” Rose, the red-haired, youngest lady of Count Leverton, wept uncontrollably. Her self-centered, inconsiderate behavior had earned her the reputation of an ignorant and arrogant villainess in the social circle. However, Rose was nothing more than an inexperienced child struggling to express her true feelings.

“Oh, please! Shut up, you’re noisy,” snapped a boy with tousled, dark blue hair at Rose’s tears. His name was Tommy; he was a hot-tempered young man born into a poor household, whose fortune later changed, becoming an exceptionally wealthy merchant family. While prone to impulsiveness and fiery temper, Tommy was known for his unwavering loyalty.

“Did you just tell me to shut up?” Rose retorted through her tears.

“Yeah, I told you to shut up. What are you gonna do about it?”

“Do you even know who I am? Judging by your appearance, it’s clear that you’re nothing more than a commoner who wouldn’t dare speak to me,” Rose haughtily replied.

“So what?”

“Both of you, stop it,” interjected Zion, a blond-haired young man and the son of a Baron.

‘…He was known to be adopted, but in truth, he was the Emperor’s hidden son,’ I mused, observing Zion quietly from the sidelines.

His mother, a woman whom the Emperor held genuine love for despite their arranged marriage, had given birth to him. Zion inherited his mother’s gentle and mild-mannered disposition, making him the epitome of a model prince. Even amidst this unsettling situation, he exuded unyielding composure.

And there I stood, Heyna, the daughter of Duke Blaise, silently observing the interactions between the three of them.

“This isn’t the time for you to bicker amongst yourselves,” Zion calmly interjected, his voice carrying a touch of authority.

“That blue-haired guy keeps picking fights with me. What should I do?” Rose exclaimed, her voice filled with frustration.

“What? When did I pick a fight with you?”

“You just told me to shut up,” Rose shot back.

Their voices escalated, and it seemed like Rose and Tommy were on the verge of another heated argument. Sensing the tension, Zion stepped in between them, wearing a mischievous smile, and swiftly changed the topic.

“Come on, let’s not do that. Since the four of us just met today, why don’t we start with self-introductions?” Zion suggested.

Indeed, we were all strangers, brought together by the circumstances within the eerie confines of the mansion. Each of us carried our own unique status and personality, adding to the enigmatic mix. As for the question of how I possessed knowledge of their names and personalities before any formal introduction was made…

The virtual reality game, ‘Lost Memories Mansion’, had garnered immense popularity, amassing over one million downloads due to a streamer’s brodcast.

“Aaahhh! This is insane! What on earth is that?”

“Wow, do I really have to open this? It looks suspicious… Aaahhh!”

“It’s even more terrifying because of the background music! Why isn’t there an option to turn it off?”

“Guys, never play it on hard mode. It’s insane!”

The game streamer was renowned for his over-the-top reactions, and ever since he showcased his gameplay of ‘Lost Memories Mansion’, the game’s popularity has skyrocketed.

I love horror games, so it was fun. I reached the true ending in just one day, haha. Now I’m going to change my pants. I don’t even need to sleep with my mom.

I’m really bad at horror games, but I like the illustrations and the story…
