Chapter 24.2

“Lady Roshua? Why don’t you call me Lady Julie like you did last time?”

“… It’s been a while since we broke up, so why would I call you by your name now? Can’t you see my wife in front of you?”

The woman’s eyes moved, and her gaze turned towards me.

No, why were they talking about me and making me stand out? I turned my head to greet her, and she lightly ignored my greeting and shot at Trish again.

“What does it mean to send a wedding invitation to an ex-lover? ‘I met a new girl and started a family with her, so come and take a look’, is that it?”

“It was only sent as a courtesy between families, I didn’t think you would come. I apologize for that. Is that all you wanted to say? We haven’t finished our meal yet, so I would appreciate it if you went on your way.”

“Then listen while you eat. It’s none of my business if you get an upset stomach.”

The servants who were serving us had long since stepped away, noticing the atmosphere.

With an uncomfortable expression, Trish and I had to sit still until Lady Roshua opened her mouth.

If Trish had gotten up first, I could have followed him and ignored her; but he was sitting still with his lips shut as if he had something on his mind.

“I’m sure this woman didn’t marry you without knowing that you’re the kind of trash who goes around meeting random women.”

“…”

“It’s not because of you that I even came to the wedding, but because of this poor woman. In case you didn’t know about his splendid past, I was going to let you know. It’s clearer to see with your eyes than to hear with words, right?”

Lady Roshua confidently raised her head and smiled at me, twisting the corners of her mouth unlike before when she ignored my greeting.

But why was she talking about this at someone else’s wedding…

‘I’m getting married to him because I need him even if I know he’s trash!’

Let’s not get exalted. What she wanted was to drive a wedge between me and Trish and break up the hard-won marriage.

On the outside, Audrey and Trish were passionately in love.

They fell in love with each other so much that they went straight to marriage, engulfed in passionate emotion.

And if so, I should protect my man regardless of what happened.

I looked at Trish with as kind a look as possible and smiled as if asking him to leave it to me.

Though the person concerned had a look of disgust on his face with a stiffened expression.

‘Gosh, can’t he control his emotions?’

“Well, whatever he may have done in the past… Isn’t it important that the Sir loves me now?”

I decided to shamelessly face her. The purpose was to embarrass the other person by acting like a woman who knew nothing but love.

I didn’t know what kind of person she was, but seeing how intimidated Trish was, I was convinced that acting sensible wouldn’t shake off Lady Roshua.

“I don’t think the past matters. In any case, he chose me.”

“… You’re saying that even after seeing this?”

Instead of answering, I slowly smiled at Lady Roshua.

It seemed impolite to continue to deal with the guest while sitting. When I got up, Lady Roshua looked me up and down with a raised eyebrow.

It was a fight between ladies, and the cause provider wasn’t even concerned.

Why would he be embroiled in such a meaningless fight for someone he didn’t even love?

Lady Roshua opened her fan gently and covered her mouth.

“I’m saying this in case you’re misunderstanding, but I’m here to advise the Lady. I’m afraid you didn’t know the rumors and were deceived by this man, since you’re a beautiful lady who grew up in a mansion without knowing how the world works.”

“Thank you for your concern even though we don’t know each other. But you have nothing to worry about now, so you can go home in peace.”

“Hear that? She said she wants you to meet a better husband instead of trash like me.”

‘Gosh, should I cover his mouth?’

I felt angry thinking that this guy who was not on anyone’s side was the center of everything.

As she looked at me with eager eyes that might have been filled with anger or jealousy, Lady Roshua’s face was stained with compassion for a moment.

What, why was she looking at me so anxiously?
