Chapter 11.1

‘Who is it?’

I turned my head in surprise, but it wasn’t easy to figure out who he was because he was wearing a mask like me.

However, it didn’t seem to be a character from the original work. There had never been a man with such a big build and a husky voice.

The staff nodded, agreeing to it, then politely greeted me and the mysterious man and stepped back.

As I had suddenly received a favor, I thanked the man first.

“I don’t know who you are, but thank you. Gentleman.”

“It’s a security process, so the staff is a little vigilant. That’s how well-managed this place is, but sometimes it’s uncomfortable.”

“I see.”

“Many people are hiding their faces here, like me and the lady, so it may be difficult to find the one you mentioned. I am quite acquainted with the regulars who come here often, so can I help you?”

“It’s alright. The kindness you’ve already given me is enough.”

It was a kind voice, but no matter how kind he acted, I had to be careful of strangers.

I waved my hand and gently declined his offer.

Like he said, it would be difficult to find Trish if I just searched for his face, but it was easy to find a game that wasn’t at all common. Since he came here, Trish was surely playing the Blue Marble game I told him about.

I took a big look around the casino, pretending to wonder what kind of games there were.

There were a variety of game tables, ranging from poker played mainly by elderly gentlemen, to blackjack, and roulette, where you just have to throw beads, and to dice games played by women.

But there was a man who was sitting among the women and rolling dice on a familiar board.

“Oh my, this game that you explained to us is really fun.”

“Aren’t you too lucky? I am bankrupt again.”

He was hanging out with the noble ladies and even winning their stakes.

‘Whew. They’re playing it well.’

Fortunately, or not, Trish was unaware that I was looking at the board at rolled the dice with an excited face.

The ladies’ reactions continued—some were joyful and others of lamentation—and when the game was over, the winner was Trish.

“Ladies, I’ll take these stakes with gratitude.”

“Sir, can I have a moment with you now that the game is over?”

I tapped Trish’s shoulder in an elegant manner, sticking out my face.

However, whether it was because I was wearing a mask or because he was absorbed in the game, Trish glanced back at me and waved his hand.

“Lady, I’m sorry, but I came here today to enjoy the game…”

“Wasn’t there a contract that was more important than the game?”

Trish flinched at the word ‘contract’. My voice seemed a little familiar now that he thought about it, and he was starting to notice who I was.

I waited for him to rise from his seat with a relaxed smile, but Trish shrugged shamelessly and retorted.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Come on, let’s start the next round!”

‘Ah, is he going to ignore me on purpose?’

This made it clear that Trish’s rejection of my letter was deliberate and not just a mistake.

Instead of quietly stepping away, I sat down on one of the remaining chairs to attend the game.

When a new participant appeared, everyone glanced at me once. However, Trish was avoiding my gaze without hiding his embarrassment.

‘He seems to know he did something wrong?’

“Then, we’ll go in order starting from this lady…”

Trish said the order would start from the woman on the other side, and the game began.

Although I taught him how to win, it wouldn’t be easy for him to beat me, who had played Blue Marble hundreds of times.

Has he heard of the ‘Lincoln Strategy’? As explained in the official game manual, it is a strategy to buy all the land in a single block of cities.

It’s a much more certain way to win than buying Seoul, since you never know when someone else will buy it.

It relied on dice luck, but I also knew how to roll the dice.

In a while, I would make it so that he wouldn’t be able to step into this casino either.

‘Now, shall I steal some money from my future husband?’
