Chapter 57.1
“Ashotchu? What is that?”
“If it’s for people who aren’t familiar with coffee, maybe it’s tea?”
Isabella and her friends were gathered closely, trying to figure it out, when a barista with short hair walked over and handed them a small paper cup.
“This is a new drink on our cafe’s menu. Would you like to try a sample?”
“Is this Ashotchu?”
“Yes, that’s right! Ashotchu is made by mixing lemon syrup into iced black tea to make iced tea, then adding a shot of espresso. The name comes from ‘iced tea with an extra shot.’”
Isabella’s friends looked horrified.
“Black tea and espresso? How is that even supposed to taste?”
“Isn’t that just too strange?”
In fact, Isabella also had her doubts. Coffee and black tea? That sounded even more bizarre than mixing green and black tea together.
However, she quickly changed her mind.
“No, I trust the owner of this cafe.”
She pictured the flavor of the drink before tasting it. The thought of lemon alone made her mouth water. Then, she cautiously took a sip of the Ashotchu.
Before she knew it, a surprised exclamation slipped out.
“Wow, this is way better than I thought!”
Soon, her friends hesitantly took a sip after her, and they were just as surprised.
“It’s delicious! You can taste the tea, and the slight bitterness makes it even better.”
Isabella made her decision.
“I’ll have this one.”
Her friends nodded in agreement.
“Me too.”
“I’ll go with this as well.”
“Oh, and I want to try that famous cake too.”
“You mean the Sachertorte? Sounds good.”
“So, that’s three Ashotchus and one Sachertorte, right? I’ll have them ready in no time.”
After writing down their order, May walked to the kitchen, looking pleased.

About an hour had passed since the tasting event began, yet the excitement over Ashotchu showed no signs of fading. April was watching the dwindling jar of lemon syrup with satisfaction.
“Excuse me, boss.”
Just then, May called out to her.
“Yeah?”
“A customer wants to speak with you.”
“Me? Why? Did they not like the drink?”
Worried, she asked, but the employee quickly shook her head.
“No, it’s the exact opposite! They really liked the drink.”
April suddenly thought of the Korean cooking shows she used to watch. She remembered how, in restaurants, satisfied customers would sometimes ask to see the chef to praise their meal.
‘Is this the same kind of thing? Do people call over baristas to praise them in cafes too?’
She found it curious but assumed it was just part of the culture here and followed her employee to the customer. The woman who had called for her was the platinum-haired woman who had complimented the Ashotchu earlier. There was something familiar about her.
Then, April suddenly recalled who she was.
‘Oh! She’s the one who asked me about the cafe’s name at the party!’
She was the reason the cafe ended up being named Lilies of April.
‘She actually came.’
April, overjoyed, greeted her with a big smile.
“Hello, I’m April, the owner of this cafe. I was told you wanted to see me.”
The woman’s violet eyes lit up as she smiled in excitement.
“Miss April, I’m not sure if you remember, but we met at the Winterville party!”
“Yes, I remember.”
“I’m so glad to see you again! My name is Isabella Hudson.”
‘…Why is she introducing herself all of a sudden?’
April wondered about it but didn’t let it show and kept the conversation going.
“Lady Hudson, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Did you enjoy your drink?”
Asking that, she subtly checked Isabella’s cup. All that was left were ice and a lemon slice—proof that she had finished it and likely enjoyed it.
Just as she had anticipated, Isabella answered with enthusiasm.
“Yes! I loved the Ashotchu just as much as the Dalgona Latte. I wanted to personally tell you how much I liked it, so I asked to speak with you.”
“I’m truly honored that you enjoyed it.”
At that moment, Isabella gave a small smile and hesitantly asked,
“Do you do catering by any chance?”
“Catering?”
“Yes! I’m planning to host a small tea gathering next week, and I want to showcase this drink. I promise I’ll give it great publicity!”
“Ah…”
April hesitated.
From the way others around them were eavesdropping, Isabella seemed to be a well-known figure in social circles. If she accepted her request, Lilies of April might gain widespread recognition. Still, April wasn’t sure about stepping away from the cafe for hours. Even though Edmund was there, she was the one in charge of the kitchen.
After thinking it over, April hesitantly offered a suggestion.
“Does it have to be held at the Hudson estate?”
“Pardon?”
“We have a private room on the third floor with a terrace. It’s designed for gatherings like this. If you’re interested, I’d like to suggest hosting your tea party there instead.”
“Aha.”
Isabella thought about it briefly before nodding in agreement.
“There’s no rule saying it has to be at my estate. Could I book the space in advance and decorate it myself?”
