Chapter 56.2
“Exactly! That’s why I plan to start selling Ashotchu in about two weeks.”
“Sounds good!”
And so, two weeks later, the much-anticipated new menu item was finally introduced.

Two weeks later, Ashotchu made its official debut.
April walked into work brimming with excitement. She was sure that Ashotchu would be just as big of a hit as the Dalgona Latte.
But to her surprise, Ashotchu wasn’t selling well.
“What’s going on?”
She muttered in frustration. Edmund, trying to analyze the situation, offered his thoughts.
“It’s probably because people aren’t familiar with it.”
“But the Dalgona Latte was something new, too.”
“That’s true, but at least that was clearly a coffee drink. Ashotchu, on the other hand… Oh, don’t misunderstand, I think it tastes great. It’s just that its identity is a bit confusing.”
“So, you’re saying people can’t tell if it’s coffee or tea?”
“Yes. Once they taste it, they’ll probably like it, but getting them to try it in the first place is the problem.”
April tightened her fists, filled with resolve.
“That means there’s only one solution.”
As if reading her mind, Edmund asked,
“Are you thinking of setting up a tasting event?”
“Yes! But instead of targeting people outside, let’s focus on our in-store customers today. First, we need to brew a large batch of black tea.”
“Got it, boss. I’ll take care of it.”
Edmund immediately started brewing the black tea. He was an excellent employee, knowledgeable not only in coffee but also in tea.
At one point, April had asked him how he managed to be so skilled in both coffee and tea, and this was his response:
〈 I don’t see other cafes’ coffee as my main competition… I see tea as the real rival. I figured learning about it would be useful, so I studied tea as well. Besides, I grew up drinking a lot of tea. 〉
After hearing that, April realized she should learn more about black tea, so she started taking lessons from Edmund. However, since she wasn’t confident in her skills yet, she left the brewing to him for now.
She filled a large glass jar with ice and poured in the freshly brewed black tea from Edmund. Next, she measured out the perfectly aged lemon syrup, added a shot of freshly brewed espresso, and stirred it all together.
‘Mmm, this is good. This might be the best batch yet.’
After pouring a small amount into a glass for a taste test, she confirmed that it was the best she had ever made.
“Okay, let’s start handing out small samples to the customers.”
The servers filled small paper cups with Ashotchu and distributed them to the customers in the cafe. Hannah had specially prepared these cups after learning about the tasting event.
“Our cafe, Lilies of April, has just introduced a new drink called Ashotchu! It’s a sweet lemon iced tea with a shot of espresso.”
Naturally, they made sure to explain the drink as they served it.
April stood beside Edmund, watching the cafe floor. A few customers curiously took a sip of the Ashotchu, but most eyed it suspiciously and didn’t even try it.
She shifted restlessly, growing impatient.
“Just one sip. If they’d just take one sip…”
And then, finally—
A platinum-blonde woman seated at a central table took a sip of the Ashotchu. A moment later, she let out an exclamation of delight.
“Whoa, this is way better than I thought it’d be!”
The moment she spoke, everyone around her turned to look. At the same time, people who had been hesitant to try the Ashotchu finally began taking sips.
Soon after, voices of amazement rang out from different parts of the cafe.
“Two Ashotchus for table two!”
“One Ashotchu and one iced Dalgona latte for table four!”
Before long, orders for Ashotchu began pouring in.
Instead of feeling thrilled, April was caught off guard by how quickly things were unfolding.
‘How did this happen?’
April blinked, watching the woman walk away in surprise. It wasn’t until Edmund’s voice—“Boss?”—brought her back to reality that she quickly started preparing another Ashotchu.

Once again, Isabella Hudson made her way to Lilies of April. Ever since the cafe had opened, she had become a nearly daily visitor.
She couldn’t forget the first taste of the Dalgona latte she had at the Winterville estate. She had tried plenty of other coffees at the cafe, but the cappuccino, with its thick, velvety foam, stood out the most. It was so smooth that she imagined drinking it was like tasting a cloud.
That was why she decided to bring her friends along today. Just like her, they weren’t particularly interested in coffee.
“Do we really have to go there? I heard they don’t even serve tea.”
“They may not have tea, but their coffee is unlike anything you’ve ever had. It’s completely different from regular coffee!”
“Coffee all tastes the same to me. I don’t like it since it’s too bitter.”
“No, really! It’s a bit bitter, but there’s this one coffee that’s also sweet and really good!”
“Alright, let’s give it a try.”
Isabella successfully persuaded her friends to visit Lilies of April. The moment she walked in, whispers spread among the nobles inside. As a prominent socialite, it was no surprise that many people recognized her. A few were practically eager to strike up a conversation.
She greeted them with a polite smile before settling into her seat.
“My top recommendation would be the Dalgona Latte, but… wait, what’s this?”
On the menu, a new item had appeared, one that hadn’t been there the day before.
Today’s special recommendation for those new to coffee: ‘Ashotchu.’
