“You’re not dealing with a debt collector, are you?”

It was clear he was joking to lighten the mood, and April couldn’t help but chuckle.

“No, he’s just someone I know, and he has his reasons for being here.”

“I see.”

“I’m going to stay here a bit longer, so just let me know once he’s gone.”

“Yes, understood.”

She assumed he would give up soon, especially after they told Zenon Olsen, ‘There’s no one named April here.’ But he didn’t. He kept showing up at the cafe every day, taking up a table and sitting there all day. There was no way she could just stay hidden in the kitchen all the time.

“Is that going to table three?”

April grabbed the tray Ethan was about to take out.

“I’ll take it.”

Even though Ethan didn’t finish his sentence, April understood what he meant.

‘He probably thinks I’m trying to avoid that man.’

Rather than offering an explanation, she just smiled and patted him on the shoulder.

“I can’t keep putting up with him sitting there like that.”

With that, she put on a serious expression and walked into the main area. As she approached, Zenon Olsen pretended to notice her.

“So, you’re finally showing your face.”

April, carefully placing the cup down, asked through gritted teeth.

“What are you doing here?”

“Why am I here? I wanted to check out the cafe my fiancée runs.”

April lowered her head and whispered quietly, keeping a smile on her face to avoid drawing attention.

“Stop messing around and drink this, then get out of the way.”

“My dear fiancée is so sweet, isn’t she? Let’s see… is this that famous Dalgona Latte? Asher, wasn’t it? The one you introduced at his birthday party?”

Instead of responding, April let out a deep sigh. Zenon hadn’t touched his Dalgona Latte at all.

“If you wanted a cafe like this, why didn’t you tell me? I could’ve set up something really nice for you.”

“….”

“I’ll even let you continue running the cafe after we get married…”

That was when someone grabbed Zenon’s cup and downed it in one swift motion.

“What…”

Zenon, who had been about to get angry, stopped when he saw the person and burst into laughter.

“Claude, when did you get here?”

Claude set down the glass, now just ice, with a loud clink and muttered in a low growl.

“If you’re finished, leave.”

“Haha, you’re the one who finished it.”

“Either way, it’s gone, so get out.”

Claude’s expression was chilling. Sensing the tension, Zenon slowly stood up from his seat.

“Alright then, Lily. I’ll be back another time.”

With that, he swiftly left the cafe. April, biting her tongue and resisting the urge to throw salt at him, cleared away the empty glass.

Claude, having watched the scene unfold, took the seat where Zenon had been sitting. April glanced around nervously before speaking up.

“Um, Duke?”

He glanced through the menu, scanning it from top to bottom.

“Give me everything.”

“Well, that’s…”

“I was just passing by and thought I’d drop in. Is that a good enough answer for you?”

“No, that’s not the issue…”

April looked toward the customers waiting outside.

“You need to follow the order. There are a lot of customers waiting outside.”

Claude shot April a glare from below, his expression clearly showing his displeasure.

‘What is it? Why is he looking at me like that?’

April, guessing what he was thinking, responded curtly.

“Duke, it’s true I was able to start this cafe because of you, but there’s no special treatment like this.”

She gave him a hard stare, her eyes narrowing.

“Come on, the customers are waiting.”

“Ha, you…”

Claude let out a laugh of disbelief, placed a hand on the back of the chair, and rose from his seat.

“I’ll see you later.”

April watched his back as he walked away helplessly.

‘Why is he acting like that?’

She couldn’t understand why he was behaving this way.

Once again today, April made her way to Claude’s office, carrying her hand-drip coffee set.

As she brewed the coffee, Claude kept staring at her with a slightly annoyed expression on his face. April only spoke after setting the finished coffee down in front of him.

“Why are you looking at me like that? You’re not still upset because I sent you out, are you?”

“It couldn’t be helped. Who told him to show up out of the blue? If only you’d given me some notice…”

“Your former fiancé came to the cafe today.”

“Do you mean Zenon Olson?”

“Yeah.”

“But why are you bringing him up all of a sudden?”
