I Became the Villain's Master - Chapter 8
Chapter 8
I couldn’t take my eyes off his mesmerizing lips.
My breath escaped me, as if caught in my throat. His honeyed voice created the illusion of an angel descending from above.
“Mistress?”
As I stared blankly, Sion made my heart race again. He smiled with a hint of freshness. I felt my mind buzzing for a moment. It wasn’t like I was in pain or anything.
I took a step back as my heart thumped forcefully, exceeding its limit.
“Ca… Can I call you something other than ‘Mistress’? Like Rosette, or, um, sister?”
I imagined Sion calling me sister with a decadent look on his face.
My mouth hung open involuntarily.
Calling him that wouldn’t be bad either, but Sion was more determined than I thought.
“I apologize. The only title I know is ‘Mistress.’ Slaves must be addressed as such. If it makes you uncomfortable, it’s because of my amnesia…”
“No, it’s not that. It’s just that I’m not mentally prepared for it, so, um, just know that for now.”
I said, tilting my head with a hint of guilt in my voice. Please, Rosette, pull yourself together!
There’s a saying that even in the embrace of a beaut, you can survive if you’re just focused!
I snapped myself out of it, slapping my cheeks lightly. Sion, who had been watching me with a worried expression, spoke up.
“Also…please use informal speech with me, mistress. There’s no need for excessive politeness.”
“Alright, should I do that?”
I immediately switched to informal speech. Because of my sympathy-triggered guilt, I felt that if I didn’t grant this small wish, something big would happen.
“Um, would you mind not using ‘Mistress’ in front of others? Just call me Rosette or something.”
“I understand, mistress.”
Stop calling me ‘Mistress’! I blushed, feeling embarrassed. To hear such words spoken so seriously was unbearable.
Ha… It felt like my lifespan was shortening.
“Follow me.”
I guided Sion to the second floor. I looked back and saw Sion obediently following behind me, and I led him to a suitable place.
“Here, there’s no furniture, but there’s a bed. How is it?”
“Wow…”
Sion stood at the doorway, repeatedly expressing admiration. He seemed happy. As his smile deepened, I grumbled and tidied up the bedsheet. Well, I tried to. Yet, as soon as the warmth of his hand covered mine, I raised my head.
“Mistress, I will take care of it.”
Sion, who had appeared by my side at some point, spoke earnestly and smiled.
“Uh…”
An indescribable feeling washed over me upon seeing Sion up close. As I stared blankly at his face, Sion let go of my hand and skillfully tidied up the sheets.
Even though he looked at me with a bewildered expression, he silently continued with his tasks. After tidying up not only the sheets but also the messy surroundings, Sion looked at me.
It was as if he was asking for praise.
I couldn’t help but admire the room, which had been transformed in an instant. Well done! It’s amazingly clean.
But then I realized that Sion had been a slave, and my expression stiffened. How much abuse and violence had he endured to end up like this?
My heart ached. But I couldn’t offer any real consolation because I didn’t know much about Sion’s life.
“Thank you, Sion.”
So I expressed my gratitude calmly. Sion brightened up and nodded.
“From now on, I will take care of these trivial matters, Mistress.”
“No, there’s no need for that. If you ever need help, feel free to ask.”
“If that’s what my mistress desires.”
Sion delivered a smile that could make anyone’s heart race. Returning to my room like that, I collapsed onto the bed, feeling sapped of all energy.
‘This is driving me crazy. What is going on?’
I writhed in agony, recalling what had happened earlier. In the end, I allowed a man to stay in my house.
He was given a room on the second floor, but it shouldn’t be a problem for just one day, right?
“Should I just go to sleep for now?”
Since I had finished my tasks, it seemed like a good idea to rest.
But unlike my tiredness, sleep didn’t come easily.
‘Mistress.’
The scene of Sion smiling that deadly smile and calling me ‘mistress’ kept vividly replaying in my mind.
“Ha… I don’t know…”
To clear my muddled thoughts, I closed my eyes. Somehow, things would work out.

The next day.
“Hmm…”
I didn’t know when I had fallen asleep, but when I opened my eyes, it was already morning.
“Oops!”
I looked at the clock and hastily got out of bed. I had to go to the security office today and discuss Sion’s living arrangements.
Mayday! Mayday!
It was already noon.
I must have overslept because I had been preoccupied with Sion’s affairs all day yesterday.
I thought I would just have some baguettes and soup for a meal and headed to the kitchen with my half-asleep vision.
And there stood a man wearing an apron. He placed a steaming plate on the dining table.
“Mistress?” Read ahead here.
