I Became the Villain's Master - Chapter 4
Chapter 4
Mayday! Mayday! Panic surged through me, and I frantically paced back and forth. What should I do in a situation like this?
‘Should I call a doctor? No, it will take too much time.’
I quickly made up my mind and rolled up my sleeves. First, I needed to check the man’s breathing, as he was losing consciousness. His breath became increasingly unstable and shallow. It seemed like excessive bleeding was the cause, as his face grew paler and devoid of color.
“Just hold on a little longer!”
The immediate priority was to move the man to a warm and safe place. With determination, I firmly grasped the man’s arm and began dragging him towards the house. Initially, I tried to support him, but he was too weak and unresponsive to lift.
So with all my strength, I resorted to pulling him along, managing to bring him inside. Although there were long streaks of blood on the floor, I didn’t pay any attention to them. I couldn’t bear to witness someone dying near my house.
“I’ll quickly get some medicine! Please stay alive.”
I entered my room and retrieved the bandages and magic ointment. An enchanted healing balm from the Magic Tower was made available for commoners at a reduced price.
When applied to wounds, it would completely heal them without leaving any scars within a day or two.
Honestly, even though it was considered cheap, it was still priced beyond the reach of ordinary people. However, I prepared it in advance because my health was a priority. And now it was time to put it to use.
“Ah…”
I sighed softly as I pulled a chair closer and sat in front of the man’s lifeless body.
First, I needed to assess his injuries, which meant removing his clothes.
Gulp.
‘Saving him is more important…’
Although it felt like I was doing something terrible, there was nothing I wouldn’t do to save a person’s life!
With that rationalization, I quickly removed his tattered clothes. Then I opened my eyes, which had been tightly shut. The man’s body was covered in wounds, as if he had been whipped. The injuries were so severe that it made me nauseous, and the deep lacerations were vividly visible.
‘Who…could do such a thing…’
I closed my lips tightly, fighting back the urge to retch. As angry as I was towards the person who committed this gruesome act, the priority now was to treat the wounds.
I used a clean towel to wipe away the blood and applied the ointment generously to the large wounds. Due to it being a magic ointment, the wounds instantly began to heal before my eyes. I marveled at the scene and quickly moved my hands, clumsily but meticulously bandaging the wounds.
‘Phew, I’m done.’
My heart was still pounding like crazy. What happened to this man? And with such deep wounds…
There was no doubt that he had been a victim of abuse. I used a cold towel to wipe the bloodstains off his face. The man’s appearance, previously concealed by dirt and blood, became apparent.
‘Oh…”’
I exclaimed, inappropriately admiring his countenance.
Insane.
His hair was still stained with blood, making it difficult to determine its original color, but it seemed like silver. Despite not having eaten well, his sharp jawline was striking, and even so, it couldn’t conceal his gorgeous face.
It was beyond being handsome; his well-defined features and gentle eyes could be considered the epitome of beauty.
‘I saved a person!’ I shouted with joy. A sense of pride washed over me.
If I hadn’t rescued this man, who possessed such looks, I would’ve been a menace to this world.
Indeed, I was fortunate. After some time, the man closed his eyes, wearing a peaceful expression on his face.
‘Hmm, he should be fine after resting for a day.’
It seemed appropriate to observe him for now. I got up from my seat, wiped the blood off the floor, and sat back down, gazing at the man’s face.
‘Who could he be?’
I tried to recall the original novel.
‘Has there ever been a description of such a beautiful man?’
Except for the main character, the descriptions of other appearances were never detailed. In that case, it was likely that this man had a high probability of being an extra like me.
‘Oh, no. His appearance is beyond the main character’s level.’
No matter how much I thought about it, I couldn’t guess who he was.
‘Has the original story started?’
The original story begins with Duke Eckart exposing the corruption of the orphanage director, where the female lead is present. Surely, rumors would have spread among the nobles, but there was no sign of that.
Since it wasn’t prominently featured in the newspaper, it seemed like the original story hadn’t started yet.
‘Or maybe the original story has already started.’
It could have started before I was transmigrated. Perhaps this man was also a character related to the original story?
From my perspective as an extra, it was an unnecessary worry.
“Ah, what does it matter to me?”
Although my plans to live a peaceful daily life seemed to be slightly off track, well, what could I do?
‘I’ll just collect the payment for the medicine and send him elsewhere!’
However, that thought didn’t last long. Read ahead here.
