I Became the Villain's Master - Chapter 30
Chapter 30
Louis once again sniffled while rubbing his eyes. I look at him and suddenly came up with an idea. Come to think of it, if Sion used to run a shop selling magic ingredients, we could ask for their help and start it back up again. It would solve the issue of unemployment and he could become independent.
“Actually, I’ve been trying to find a job for Sion. But because his status is unclear, it’s not easy to find one. Could you help us?”
Louis and Helena’s expressions brightened at my words.
“That would be great. Shall I help you start the shop again?”
“Great! Sir Sion. This is an opportunity. We’ll tell you about running the shop and the lost memories….”
Tap-
However, Sion placed his teacup loudly and slowly opened his mouth, “I still need more rehabilitation because my wounds are not fully healed yet. And…”
His red eyes stared at me as if longing for something.
“I am more satisfied with what I am doing now.”
“But Sion. Wouldn’t it be better to become independent with the help of these people?”
Sion’s brow furrowed at my words. I could no longer persuade him with his stubborn attitude.
“…Sir Sion. What are you doing now?”
I hesitated for a moment at Louis’s probing question. How should I say this?
‘He wants to be my slave and was holding back because of it. Should I say it like this? That’s not it either.’
Sion ended up answering in a vague way.
“Gardening, dishes, laundry, and cleaning.”
“….”
Silence fell again. I shook my hand, denying the gaze that was focused on me.
“No, I didn’t ask…. Sion wanted to do it, so I made the request.”
“Yes, this kind of work suits me better.”
“Is that so…?”
Helena and Louis exchanged meaningful glances. Then, they finished their tea and got up from their seats.
“Then we’ll come back to persuade you, Sir Sion. Please think about it. The employees at the shop are waiting for you.”
“I’ll read the novel well, Rosette.”
“Ah, are you leaving already?”
“Yes, we came out for a short while. We’ll see you again.”
Helena gave Sion a meaningful look and turned away. And then the mages left the house and the stillness returned. Sion was pressing on his temple and staring at the floor.
“Sion. It’s fortunate that you met people who know you. You ran a shop in the past? That’s amazing.”
The fact that Sion was acquainted with the mages of Magic Tower was surprising! I couldn’t even imagine their true identities. However, Sion didn’t seem happy at all.
“Is that so?”
Sion lifted his head slightly and looked into my eyes. His extremely deep voice sounded unfamiliar.
“Mistress.”
“Huh?”
“Do you want me to disappear quickly?”
“…Huh? No, why would you think that?”
I want Sion to find his freedom and become independent. He can’t stay in this house forever. It was something I said for Sion’s sake, but it didn’t seem to sound that way to him.
“I don’t know who they are at all.”
“Sion….”
I hesitated and patted Sion’s shoulder with a sad face.
“But maybe, if you follow them, you might remember your past.”
“That might be true, but…I don’t want to do that.”
Sion held my hand gently and pleaded.
“How can I make you satisfied?”
“Sion, I’ve said this before…”
“I know. But I am happiest when I am by your side.”
Sion held my hand and pressed it against his cheek. Was it just my imagination that his eyes flickered as if it was burning?
“Even if my memories come back.” His clear eyes reflected my surprised face. “You will always be my mistress.”
