I Became the Villain's Master - Chapter 28
Chapter 28
Why would she choose independence while living comfortably as a noble? Of course, after working for the Cernia estate for a long time, he knew that Rosette’s position was not much different from his own.
“But even so, she must have been hungry.”
He cursed the foolish Rosette in his heart and quickened his pace. At least his intuition told him that the person living in that mansion was Rosette.
Soon, the two-story mansion appeared, more luxurious than he had imagined. And what about the location?
There was a river in front and a hill in the back, making it a favorable geographical location.
“No wonder the jewel went missing.”
With a frown, John hid behind a large tree near the house. And he waited for someone to come out from inside.
Creak-
Soon, the door opened, and a man appeared. Squinting his eyes and staring at the man, John held his breath for a moment.
He had accompanied Lionel to social events many times to gather information, but he had never seen such an unrealistically handsome person before.
John was certain that if this man attended a social gathering, all eyes would be on him.
The man’s appearance was enough to evoke admiration. Finally regaining his composure, John sighed as he saw a woman following behind the man.
“Could it be…?”
He desperately hoped it wasn’t true, but even after rubbing his eyes, there was no mistaking it. The person he was looking for, Rosette, was undoubtedly there.
They were talking and laughing together, enjoying each other’s company.
“I see…,” he said, realizing why she had run away from the mansion. John could already imagine Lionel’s reaction when he heard this news. He would surely be furious and come looking for her.
“It’s my responsibility until this point,” John said, turning away without noticing the gazes fixed on him from afar.

I told Sion that a guest would be arriving soon and instructed him not to use the title of “mistress.”
“Just call me sister. Got it?”
“Understood. Mistress,” Sion replied with a slightly displeased expression, but he nodded gracefully.
“By the way, is the person coming the one who saved your life?”
“Yeah, that’s right. If Helena hadn’t given me the magic tool, things could have gone really bad,” I replied in a light tone.
“Just give her the novel, and they’ll be satisfied. I think they’re on the second floor.”
“I’ll do that then.” As soon as I sent Sion upstairs, I heard the sound of the doorbell.
Ding-dong.
I rushed to the entrance with an annoyed expression. Peeking through the crack in the door, I saw two people wearing mage robes.
“We’re here! Rosette!” I opened the door immediately upon hearing Louis’ cheerful voice from behind the door.
“Long time no see. Helena, Louis.” They entered the house and immediately took off their robes.
I first thanked Helena, who was brushing aside her crimson hair.
“Helena, thank you. I wanted to thank you personally at the time, but I’m saying it now.”
“Oh, well, I’m glad to hear that.”
“Rosette! Your house is amazing! Can’t I just stay here forever?” I laughed and lightly dismissed Louis’s remark, turning to Helena.
“I’ll bring the tea, so please wait a moment.”
A little later, I handed them both a cup of tea. It felt strange to serve tea myself after Sion started taking care of it since he arrived home.
“Here, it’s a novel. I’ll just give it to you.”
I took out Treasure Number 42, which I had prepared in advance, and handed it to Helena. Her eyes sparkled for a moment, but I pretended not to notice.
“Thank you.”
“No problem. I have more novels if you need them.”
“Really?”
“Yes, Seruta’s new novel came out recently.”
“That’s right. I heard about it too.”
“This work is something…” As we started discussing the novel, Louis interrupted us, pouting and sipping his tea.
“Why doesn’t anyone pay attention to me? Sob…”
Pretending to shed tears and covering his eyes, Louis gestured for attention. So, I took a sip of tea and asked quietly,
“Louis, how have you been?”
“I’ve been good! But you just asked me that earlier!”
“Keep it down.” Helena spoke coldly, and Louis lowered his face while grumbling.
Then he quickly recovered and glanced at me, asking, “Rosette, by the way, where is he? The person you mentioned… the one related to the slave trade!”
“Ah…” I trailed off and made an awkward expression.
“He’s outside for a moment…” At that moment, the two mage’s gazes fixed on something.
“Sister?”
I anxiously turned my gaze, and there was Sion standing on the stairs.
“S-Sion?” But it was the reactions of the mage that were even more peculiar. Helena’s body stiffened, her eyes widened, and Louis seemed to be overwhelmed with emotion as tears streamed down his face.
“Sniff…”
