I Became the Tutor of the Royal Twins - Side Story 17
Side Story 17

As time passed, Sera’s belly began to swell.
Fortunately, along with the bigger belly, her morning sickness subsided, and Sera regained her energy and appetite.
She found her pregnancy fascinating, as it prompted cravings for new foods she hadn’t eaten before, like the pigeon dish from that day.
She also started eating larger portions of foods she had previously avoided.
However, despite the increased food intake, it seemed all the nutrients went straight to the baby, as Sera’s belly swelled while the rest of her remained unchanged from before she got pregnant. If she hid her belly, no one would notice.
But still….
Sera gently caressed her big belly.
The speed at which it grew seemed unusually fast.
Was it because the baby took after Helios and was big? Or was it possibly twins?
Sometimes, Sera thought it might be twins. There were many instances of twins in the imperial family, and Rosé and Ferre were twins too.
“Could it be two of you in there, baby?”
She softly whispered to her belly.
Helios, sitting beside her, gazed at her lovingly and chuckled quietly.
“They say the baby hears the father’s voice better than the mother’s.”
“Really?”
“Lower tones are said to be easier to hear.”
“Did you read that in a book?”
“Yes, in the book Rosé and Ferre carry around every day.”
As he shared this fact, he bent down and gently kissed her rounded belly, caressing it softly.
“Daddy hopes you won’t trouble Mommy too much. Can you let us know if there’s just one of you?”
Helios whispered to the belly.
“Heli, we don’t know for sure if there’s only one…. If there are two, they might be upset by what you said….”
Sera looked at him with a slightly reproachful glance, knowing he was just worried.
Helios, feeling apologetic, stroked her hair and looked at her with a regretful expression. He stared at her belly for a long moment before speaking with a voice full of concern.
“But you’re so small, and having twins is much more challenging.”
“You were the one who said we should have three children.”
“We can have them one at a time.”
“Having two at once might be nice too.”
Helios smiled, exasperated.
“We’ll find out when we see the doctor soon.”
Sera decided to end the playful argument and raised her hand in mock surrender. At that moment, she felt a strange sensation in her belly.
A tickling, bubbling feeling as if bubbles were popping inside her….
“Wait, Heli!”
Sera urgently grabbed Helios’s hand and placed it on her belly.
“I think the baby just moved!”
Helios’s eyes widened.
They both placed their hands on her belly and waited quietly, hoping the baby would move again.
A moment later, the same fluttering sensation returned.
“Heli, did you feel that?”
“Ah….”
Helios’s eyebrows twitched. After a moment of contemplation, he shook his head regretfully.
“I’m not sure….”
“Hmm. I guess it’s harder for you to feel.”
Sera mumbled with a disappointed look.
“But one thing is clear, Sera.”
“What is it?”
“Our baby is listening to Daddy. I should apologize for what I said earlier.”
Helios spoke to the baby in her belly, saying it didn’t matter whether there was one or two as long as they didn’t trouble their mother.
The next day brought a surprising revelation.
* * *
“Not just one?”
“Not just two?”
“Three?”
“Threeee?”
“Threeee!”
“Woooow!”
Rosé and Ferre counted on their fingers, then gave a thumbs-up to Helios and Sera.
Helios, still reeling from the doctor’s shocking news, could only stare blankly at his siblings.
“Three babies at once! Heli Oppa and Sera, you’re amazing!”
“Congratulations, Sera!”
“We’re getting three nieces or nephews at once!”
“I never thought we’d get so many at once!”
“I hope there are both baby girls and boys.”
“With three, there’ll be one that looks like Sera and one that looks like Oppa, right?”
“They’ll be so cute!”
“They’ll be incredibly beautiful!”
Rosé and Ferre couldn’t contain their excitement, hopping around the room. Helios was so overwhelmed by the situation that he couldn’t even pay attention to his siblings circling him. He alternated between looking at the ceiling and the floor, rubbing his face in disbelief.
It wasn’t just one.
Not even two.
But three.
Triplets.
“Heli Oppa, are you okay?”
“Heli Hyung, why are you acting like that?”
“Snap out of it, Oppa!”
“Are you just really happy? Hyung! Heli Hyung!”
“With three, you should be three times as happy!”
Rosé and Ferre, oblivious to the seriousness of the situation, clung to him on both sides. He stared blankly at them for a long time before finally managing a few words.
“I’m okay… just surprised…”
