Fumbling with the ring case in his pocket, he struggled to maintain his usual smile as he spoke.
“It just felt a shame to end today like this. I’d like to make a suggestion if you’re not too tired.”

Sera looked surprised, her eyes wide.
He realized he had never actually had a drink with Sera before.

As they walked down the corridor, Helios stopped and looked down at her.

Sera, who had been nervously gazing at Helios, let out an awkward laugh, feeling silly for being so tense.
Helios pushed her ahead and reached for the doorknob, opening the door for her before she realized what was happening.
It was only when a rich fragrance of flowers filled the room and enveloped her face that she grasped the situation.

Sera gasped at the sight.
The room, where he had prepared the wine, was glittering with beautiful flowers and crystal lights.
“Heli, such a grand gesture of celebration…”
Unable to hide her surprise, Sera turned to look at Helios.
As she was about to comment with a laugh, she suddenly felt like she might squeal and quickly covered her mouth with both hands.
Under the grand chandelier, Helios was kneeling on one knee, holding a ring case.
Sera stared at him, bewildered, unable to grasp if what was happening was real.
Then, Helios, with a gentle smile, slowly opened the ring case.
The clear diamond sparkled brilliantly under the dazzling lights.
“Sera.”
Helios called her name in a soft voice.
“Yes… Heli.”
As if enchanted, Sera responded in a daze.
“I’ve cherished the warmth you’ve given me all this time. It would take a lifetime to reciprocate fully, but I want to be by your side forever. So… will you be my Empress?”
Helios proposed in a calm and steady voice.
Though it was evident he was nervous, Sera looked at him silently for a long while, as if time had stopped.

She couldn’t believe the meaning of his words was exactly as she thought, and her mind briefly went blank.
Sera slowly realized that Helios was truly proposing to her, not just a fantasy like a dream she once had.
And gradually, she felt the urge to cry as tears began to well up in her eyes.

Her voice trembled, even though the answer had always been decided.
Sera cautiously approached Helios, who was still kneeling.
“My answer is… of course…”
Her voice choked up. She slowly extended her bare hand towards him.
