Despite Being an Extra, I'm the Villain's Childhood Friend - Chapter 60.1
Chapter 60.1
Robert, chuckling to himself, wilted dramatically, his eyes drooping at the corners when Izeline looked at him with concern.
“How are you? Feeling any better?”
“No. Still hurts…”
Monica’s baseless claim that a kiss would speed up healing had, for some reason, had a lasting effect on the two of them.

The garden was brimming with the vibrancy of spring. Cherry blossoms drifted down, scattering across Michael’s golden hair as he leaned against a tree trunk, reading.
He gave his head a slight shake, dislodging the petals and the maids standing nearby clasped their hands together, squealing with delight. The fourteen-year-old boy possessed both the innocence of a child and the allure of a young man.
Robert, lying on the grass reading, glanced at the maids with a disdainful look.
“Their eyes must be broken.”
“Don’t be jealous.”
Michael was about to tease him, saying some of them squealed at the sight of Robert too, but playfully closed his mouth. It was because Robert, who had always been a little kid, was starting to show a more manly demeanor. He even showed signs of growing into an attractively cold and handsome man.
Unfortunately, he was completely oblivious to it.
“Draw your sword.”
“I always welcome a spar with you.”
Michael’s eyes crinkled into a smile.
Robert grimaced as if he’d seen something unpleasant. Then, instead of drawing his sword, he moved a handspan away from Michael as if he couldn’t bear to be near him. Michael let out a soft chuckle.

It was another peaceful day, like any other. Except for Izeline.
“Are you even paying attention? This formula is wrong. Why did you do it like this?”
Five years had passed, but the mage’s passion showed no signs of cooling. Having moved the lessons from indoors to the garden to avoid the risk of property damage from practicing attack magic, they were engrossed in the magic lesson, with no time to enjoy the spring.
Izeline, dark circles under her eyes, racked her brain, trying to memorize the magic formula. At this rate, she felt like her brain would shrivel up entirely, leaving her an empty shell.
‘Oh, God. Why are you putting me through this?’
“I applied Pamila’s formula here, and to mitigate the curvature phenomenon based on speed, I used the Catria function…”
‘Seriously? I didn’t even study this hard back on Earth when I was in high school.’
Izeline, deeply annoyed, looked at the two boys leisurely lounging under the cherry blossom tree.
‘Why do they have to play around where I can see them…!’
Still, she had no time to be distracted.
“It’s the Catreia function, not the Catria function! How many times do I have to tell you?!”
Gerald yelled, his face red with frustration as she made the same mistake again.
“Oh…”
Realizing her error, Izeline immediately crouched down and began to correct the magic formula.
Scratch, scratch.
She roughly rubbed out a part of the formula drawn on the dirt ground and, using a twig as a pencil, drew in the new geometric pattern.
With Gerald’s help, she had begun to sense mana and was improving rapidly. Though she didn’t realize it due to the constant scolding, being able to use this level of attack magic in just five years was a remarkable achievement.
Her frequent mistakes were the only flaw.
“You messed up here. I told you it has to be precise, not even a setra off.”
‘I’m not an artist! How can I draw it without a single flaw?’
