Despite Being an Extra, I'm the Villain's Childhood Friend - Chapter 46.2
Chapter 46.2
“That would be wise.”
“Or maybe you should humbly bow and beg for my favor.”
It was a casual remark, but to Oren’s surprise, Robert sheepishly lowered his head. Oren’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“What?”
“Master, please take me to the Information Guild.”
“Are you… feeling all right? Michael, did you accidentally elbow him earlier?”
Robert, who had just been struck in the temple by Michael during their swordsmanship practice, shuddered at the humiliating memory.
Michael, equally surprised, rubbed his eyes, recalling the incident with a serious expression.
“No, I didn’t hit him wrong. He’s as sturdy as an ox.”
“But I don’t understand…”
Oren scrutinized Robert from head to toe, seriously contemplating whether he should call a doctor. Meanwhile, Robert, offended by the ‘sturdy as an ox’ remark, vowed to hit him harder next time, swinging his elbow fiercely in the air several times.
Witnessing this, Izeline intervened with a complex expression.
‘He’s acting tough even though he’s trembling.’
She couldn’t reveal the truth in this situation.
Looking at Robert, whose eyes blazed with determination as if he were selling his soul, Izeline couldn’t help but wonder. For some unknown reason, it seemed the Duke’s young master was about to use the Information Guild to start accumulating secret funds.

“What a boring place.”
That was Oren’s assessment of the secluded bookstore. The serene and tranquil atmosphere was devoid of any customers. At this point, one might suspect they had cast a ‘No Trespassing’ spell to keep people out.
“For those who seek knowledge, there is no greater playground than this.”
At that moment, a voice came from behind, causing Oren and his three disciples to turn around simultaneously. Grosh, who had seemingly vanished after leaving the bookstore, was standing between the bookshelves without a sound.
Unlike the surprised children, Oren, aware of his presence, calmly replied.
“Knowledge is best acquired by experiencing the world, not by staying cooped up in a bookstore.”
“You’re not wrong.”
Grosh nodded once with a benevolent expression. Then, he looked at Robert, Izeline, and Michael in turn.
“The last student has returned, I see. It’s you.”
He smiled faintly at the golden-haired boy, his demeanor vastly different from the sternness he displayed towards Gerald. Feeling like he was facing a respected elder, Michael grinned.
“Did teacher tell you about me?”
“He spoke of an amusing fellow.”
Remembering Gerald’s incessant gossiping, Grosh smiled his usual gentle grandfatherly smile. Oren then politely requested.
“I would like to ask Izeline to stay here for a while.”
“Guests are free to stay in the bookstore as long as they wish.”
Grosh shrugged, implying that he was free to do as he pleased. Taking this as agreement, Oren nodded casually and turned to Izeline.
“I’ll be back soon.”
“Don’t do anything dangerous.”
“Why are you, a little shrimp, so worried?”
Seeing his smug grin, Izeline’s head shook with excitement. The Information Guild, due to its clandestine nature, attracted many dangerous individuals. Perhaps for this reason, both Robert and Michael, in rare agreement, raised their hands in protest against Izeline accompanying Oren.
“Let’s go quickly.”
Robert, adopting a formal tone out of necessity, urged Oren.
“We’ll see how long that lasts.”
Oren, rolling his eyes, couldn’t help but take a step forward under his disciples’ disapproval.
“Have you thought about what to request?”
“Yes.”
