At the End of the Hidden Greenery - Chapter 188
Jiwoo was treated based on her usefulness, and if that was gone, there would be no one left to protect her.
So, she had clung to duty, trying to justify it by convincing herself that she wanted it. But looking at how she was slowly wearing down without realizing it, she realized that wasn’t the answer either.
When Marron and Night, who were sent to protect Jiwoo, weren’t chosen for this mission, the anxiety they felt was likely the same.
She didn’t understand why they were begging with tears in their eyes.
But…
“I become more desperate when I think that there’s only one answer given to me. The reason I’ve been hesitating until now is because I thought I wasn’t the answer.”
“I don’t quite understand what you mean.”
Marron, having been silently listening, couldn’t contain his confusion and spoke up.
When Jiwoo says she isn’t the answer, does that mean there’s another tree or another female choice that could work?
That couldn’t possibly be the case.
“We are not the ones who make the choice.”
“I know. That’s not what I meant…”
Jiwoo thought for a moment and chose her words carefully.
“I know how unsettling it is when the person closest to me holds my lifeline, and my safety is at their mercy depending on their whims. Sometimes, it feels suffocating, and I feel crushed.”
She knew how terrifying that was. No one understood it better than her. She had endured for so long.
That’s why she did whatever she was told, never showing complaints or weakness, always trying to read the other person’s mood.
Living like that, she had forgotten what she truly wanted.
“I must have looked like I was weighing the possibility of sending you somewhere else. I wanted to slowly show you that that wasn’t the case.”
Even if they didn’t do anything and stayed by her side, she didn’t want to pressure them into doing things.
She didn’t want to use fear to manipulate them into doing her bidding.
Not being the one making the choice meant that it didn’t matter who chose them.
Even if another… better offer came up, to believe that choosing this option would truly mean something.
“But that was my own greed. I guess I didn’t understand enough.”
But that, too, was from her perspective, and it might not have meant anything to the children of Ellandos.
“It’s only natural to rely on the only method I know.”
If her difference in thinking made them anxious, then there was no need to insist on it. After all, it might have been the direction that made them feel more secure.
Jiwoo sat down, hugged her knees, and rested her head on them. She turned her head to look at Marron and Night and smiled.
“I’m sorry.”
Marron and Night stared at Jiwoo, who looked somewhat embarrassed as she smiled.
Then, without realizing it, they both lowered their heads.
The children of Ellandos had to make the other person desire them.
So, instead of approaching first, it was supposed to be them reaching out…
“Uum.”
When Jiwoo came to her senses, Marron kissed her lips first.
After their lips parted, Marron flinched in surprise.
Next, Night did the same, but Marron was so taken aback by his own actions that he hardly noticed Night right beside him.
Jiwoo’s face turned a deep red. It wasn’t that she was out of breath; she just looked embarrassed.
“Before we go any further, we should do this, right?”
Jiwoo said, holding out blindfolds with a broad smile.
That’s right. They were about to proceed with the first night rituals, which meant following the proper steps. It wasn’t merely about physical intimacy; it was about committing to take responsibility.
And to think they had almost forgotten to use the blindfolds. The first night was crucial… it was supposed to be.
“Let me help you with that.”
Whether Marron realized his earlier gaffe or not, Jiwoo took the initiative and placed the blindfolds on them herself.
Suddenly, everything went dark.
He could no longer see Jiwoo’s shy, apologetic smile.
…What now? He wanted to see that a bit longer.
* * *
Being blindfolded meant relying more on other senses.
With her sight blocked, every other sensation felt amplified, and it was the husbands’ role to ease that tension.
But this time was different.
Now it was their turn to be blindfolded, and the test was whether they could satisfy their partner even without their sight.
“Uumm.”
As they began to earnestly attend to her, Jiwoo closed her eyes and surrendered to the sensations.
Marron and Night, even blindfolded, skillfully undressed Jiwoo and bathed her body as if they were preparing for a sacred ritual.
They each pressed their lips against her exposed shoulders and thighs. Their warm tongue traveled up the inside of her thigh.
By the end of the first night, the husbands had become so attuned to Jiwoo’s heartbeat that they could sense her emotions without words. They knew what she needed, whether she was feeling warm or cold, what snack she might crave, and even whom she desired at the moment.
They followed that routine. Blindfolded using only their hearing and touch.
Night moved behind Jiwoo, gently grasping her chest. His fingertips brushed the peak before finding their place.
“Uung…”
Initially, she had hated these sensations as they were unfamiliar, but now she was no longer averse to them. In fact, her body had grown accustomed to the pleasure. The sensation of her n*pples getting softly squeezed made her grow wet between her legs.
Marron held her thighs with both hands and licked upwards using his tongue. His tongue felt even hotter than the warm water she had just been submerged in.
With his head between her legs, Marron murmured softly,
“Do you hear that?”
“Uht, what?”
“The sound of the inside getting wet.”
Could that really be heard? Perhaps his hearing was that good.
Again, she wondered if there might come a time when she wouldn’t even need to talk, when language would be lost, and simply rolling around would suffice.
