An Extra Who Wants To Escape The Obsessive Male Lead - Chapter 32
Chapter 32
“There’s a person in Alors named Nira.”
I opened my mouth, mentioning Nira’s ability to conceal magic, which allowed him to work as a spy and a special agent for Alors. However, because he accidentally stumbled upon Duke Alors’ plan of having a ‘fake Ferro,’ he was chased by Alors and eventually killed.
What he possessed was the ‘disguise ability to hide magic.’
When exactly did Nira overhear Duke Alors’s plan? Even though he probably hasn’t been discovered yet, he would be close to being exposed by the time of the assembly.
The timing was perfect.
Once he became the focus of Duke Alors’ attention, it would be our chance to extract him. While Krua was an illegitimate child, the idea of her being used as a pawn by Duke Alors, who shared the same bloodline, greatly disturbed him.
Additionally, his life would be in jeopardy. In such a precarious situation, I believed I could convince him to cooperate.
“It would be best to find a way to persuade him.”
I suggested to Diello, revealing only the information about Nira that Krua Alors would know from the original story, except for the fact that Nira would soon be chased.
“He is loyal to Alors. He believes that Alors’ blood should be respected no matter what.”
I explained, extending my hand as I went on.
“So, if he finds out that I am a fake Ferro, sent here as a tool, he will feel betrayed by Duke Alors.”
Diello’s response was natural.
“Though can we really persuade one of Duke Alors’ loyal subjects?”
Fortunately, Nira was not Duke Alors’ loyal subject, but Alors’ loyal subject. I replied lightly to his concern.
“Let’s try to find a way to persuade him. We still have time until the assembly.”
As for situations I hadn’t tampered with, they would follow the original flow, and Nira would be in danger anyway. Moreover, while I may be illegitimate, I was still Alors’ blood so let’s see if we could persuade him.
As I finished organizing the bedding and stood up, Diello’s strange gaze followed me.
“Are you going to teach me something else?”
Our gazes met, and he looked at me like a well-behaved student. Although I couldn’t teach him how to see the future(?), I could probably show him how to persuade Nira.
“Of course.”
I responded confidently to him.
“Fostering fear is good, but sometimes, persuading others gently is also a virtue of the Duke.”
‘I’ll make you a perfect Duke! Just follow me!’
I looked at him playfully.

Argenta’s intelligence promptly followed our orders, and the perfect opportunity arrived.
“After investigating, it turns out Nira was being chased by Duke Alors’ assassins.”
Rick said as I pretended to be unaware of the fact that I already knew.
“Chased?”
Despite the fact that I responded with feigned surprise, it was something I already knew. Nira already heard about the fake Ferro plan? The timing was impeccably good.
“Yes, he discovered some ‘secret’ of Alors.”
At Rick’s words, Diello and I glanced at each other.
He opened his mouth to speak.
“Alors’ secret…”
I looked at him briefly.
“There’s a good chance he found out about me.”
“If that’s the case, Argenta will also have to guard the secret that has been leaked.”
As Diello replied, his composure seemed shaken before he looked at me as if seeking my decision. In the meanwhile, Rick chimed in with his usual cheerfulness.
“Shall I eliminate him?”
However, I shook my head.
“No, let’s wait a bit longer.”
Nira wouldn’t be easily killed. According to the original story, he would be chased multiple times before being captured, so it was better if we intervened right before he would be caught for the last time.
“Still, he might end up dead. Alors’ assassins are especially ruthless.”
Diello said with a troubled expression.
‘That ‘s the same for Argenta, isn’t it?’
I scratched my cheek.
“Nevertheless, we need to save him in a dramatic moment. That’s how we’ll gain his loyalty. Trust me, I’ll teach you well. Just follow my lead.”
I said to Diello.
Then, turning my head to Rick, I continued, “Follow him closely just before he’s about to be killed.”
“….”
Rick remained silent and was frozen like a statue. When his gaze was fixed between Diello and me, I raised an eyebrow in response.
“Rick?”
I called out to him again.
“Uh, yes?”
It was only then did he finally seemed to snap out of his daze and looked at me with a puzzled expression as if he had heard something strange.
I repeated my earlier instruction.
“Make sure to intervene right before he’s about to be killed.”
“…Understood.”
Rick replied, his response slightly delayed and suspiciously uncertain. As he bowed his head and raised it again, his gaze landed on Diello, who was observing me with sparkling eyes with his back leaning against the wall.

A few days later, the date for the assembly was set. Simultaneously, news came in that Nira seemed to be on the verge of being caught.
“It’s scheduled for a week from now.”
I informed the group that the venue would be Argenta’s villa.
[ Siette Cartiel suggested.
“Since there was an incident in Argenta recently, wouldn’t it be better to hold the assembly there as a celebration of success as well?” ]
Well, during the assembly, fighting was strictly forbidden, and from our standpoint, there was no reason to refuse to hold it in our home ground and receive guests.
“Prepare to receive the guests at the villa.”
Diello ordered.
As instructed, Argenta’s people moved promptly and efficiently. While preparations for the assembly villa were underway, I inquired about Nira’s current location.
“His last known location is Tilah Heights.”
The information was shared with us.
“Tilah Heights?”
I looked at him, and our eyes met. It was a fortunate location since Tilah Heights was situated between Argenta and Alors.
“Let’s get ready to move.”
I spoke, quickly getting up from my spot. On the other hand, Diello looked taken aback by my sudden action. He blinked, his eyes wide in surprise.
“Are you planning to go there as well?”
“Of course. Unless I, who possess both Alors’ blood and power, am there, persuading Nira through normal means is impossible.”
Even though he seemed like he wanted to dissuade me, this plan couldn’t afford to fail. During the assembly, it would be difficult to act like everything was normal without Nira’s disguising ability.
“It’ll be dangerous.”
Diello said, trying to voice his concerns. Still, this was a plan that couldn’t afford failure so I needed to be there to persuade Nira properly.
“Then, I’ll bring more people with me.”
In response to my statement, he nodded.
“I’ll go with you as well.”
When he added, I hesitated for a moment.
Was it okay for the head to accompany me so close to the boundary between Alors and Argenta? Nonetheless, it seemed like Rick, who I thought would be the first to oppose it, was surprisingly quiet. He seemed calm and unconcerned.
“Don’t you think we can learn more up close if we go together?”
Diello smiled lightly.
“That’s… true.”
I admitted.
Indeed, it made sense. So, in the end, Diello and I decided to head to Tilah Heights together to rescue Nira in a dramatic turn of events.
