An Extra Who Wants To Escape The Obsessive Male Lead - Chapter 114.2
Chapter 114.2
“I don’t know if this is okay.”
Diello smiled faintly at my involuntary words.
“Do as you wish, Krua.”
‘I… I don’t know. I can’t be certain.’
As I whispered, his smile deepened.
“Then, watch closely.”
He pulled back slightly, his eyes meeting mine.
“….?”
As I met his gaze again, wondering if he meant for me to look at him, he pulled me closer into a tight embrace and slowly pressed against me.
He lowered his head, burying his face in my shoulder.
“!”
He left a mark on my neck and whispered in a husky voice.
“Not me, but you.”
There was no time, nor any need, to ask what he meant. He kissed me deeply, catching me off guard. I thought I was prepared, but the kiss was longer and deeper than I expected.
“….!”
My body, weak and hazy, began to sway.
As I wrapped my arms around his neck, he let out a short, satisfied chuckle and pressed himself even closer.
“Ah.”
He fully supported my unbalanced body, kissing the skin below my neck. Short bursts of heat sent shivers down my spine. I felt his straight nose against my slightly raised chin.
Click.
The first button of my dress, the one his lips had just touched, came undone. My heart pounded. Each beat seemed to shake my entire body, like a ship on a stormy sea.
“How is it?”
He smiled, meeting my eyes.
“Do you think it will be okay?”
The storm was intensifying. He watched me and said.
“If it’s okay…”
He supported the back of my neck, helping me stand, and then leaned his forehead against mine. He stepped back and gently took my hand. Holding my hand with just enough pressure that I could pull away at any moment, his heated gaze traveled slowly from my hand to my face.
“Come to me.”
At his words, I instinctively tightened my grip on his hand. I thought I saw Diello’s smile deepen.
“!”
My vision shifted without a moment’s notice. The approaching ceiling and my wildly swaying vision, mirroring my racing heartbeat, disoriented me. He had swept me up into his arms and was carrying me out of the grave.
“Diello!”
“Shh,” he whispered.
“It wouldn’t do for others to see us like this.”
As blood rushed to my face, I saw him tilt his head slightly.
“Unless…?”
“Unless what?!”
I thumped his chest. Diello burst out laughing and kissed me deeply again. The world spun. With each blink, with each breath he released, the sky changed, the scenery changed, the world changed.
And then…
Creak.
The sound of a door opening. I could now see a high ceiling. It was the villa near the grave. Glancing around, I saw a red carpet stretching across the well-maintained interior. The carpet was so plush it muffled even Diello’s footsteps.
‘Wait, a villa of this size would surely have staff.’
‘Someone is bound to see us like this.’
“Wait—”
As I shifted in his arms, he held me tighter.
Whoosh!
His magic flared behind us. The chandelier’s candles and the surrounding flames flickered brightly, responding to his power, before dimming again.
Bang!
A small explosion, or something similar, seemed to have occurred near the door, slamming it shut with a rough thud. Perhaps startled by the noise…
Thud.
The shoe that had been precariously clinging to my foot fell to the floor. I felt it distinctly and let out a short breath.
Diello, also noticing, narrowed his eyes.
“Oh dear.”
It was common knowledge that walking barefoot in an aristocratic household was unseemly, especially if the servants were to see. But Diello didn’t slow his pace.
“My shoe…”
I blushed as the cool air touched my skin through my stockings.
“It’s just us, no one will know.”
He smiled sweetly. But perhaps because I moved my leg, my toes bumped against a decoration on the staircase.
“!”
Diello, who was holding me tightly, stumbled.
“Diello!”
I instinctively clung to him as his arms tightened around me. Because of this, I didn’t hit the stairs. Diello absorbed the impact for both of us.
“Are you alright?”
As I tried to straighten up, he gave a slightly pained smile.
“No.”
He sat me down on the stairs. The plush carpet made it hard to believe we were on a staircase. More importantly, as I reached out to him, Diello, instead of offering his arm, leaned towards me.
“….?”
He knelt on one knee a couple of steps below me, his eyes meeting mine. Then, he suddenly spoke.
“If you can’t move without your shoes…”
His hand touched my exposed knee, the one with the remaining shoe. Warmth spread from the hollow of my knee, down my calf, and around my heel.
“….!”
Just as my eyes widened, he slipped off my other shoe.
“Now, can’t you go anywhere?”
His gaze met mine, a playful glint in his eyes.
