An Extra Who Wants To Escape The Obsessive Male Lead - Chapter 112.2
Chapter 112.2
“So, I embraced him right then and there! How romantic is that~!”
“….”
Her tastes seemed rather… unique.
‘Well, as long as they’re happy…’
“Your husband might be planning something similar.”
Yuria whispered, sending a shiver down my spine. I imagined Diello leading me to our bedroom, a trail of candles illuminating the way, and forced a smile.
‘I… I’d prefer the bouquet.’

The house was modest but well-equipped. There was ample space for Krua, who had recently been experiencing bouts of drowsiness due to the aftereffects of her awakening, to rest.
‘If I fall asleep this early…’
She looked troubled, but Diello shook his head.
‘You need to rest. It’s right after your awakening. Besides, you came here to relax.’
‘You shouldn’t feel guilty about resting.’
His continued persuasion finally convinced Krua to lie down. She fell asleep before she could say another word.
‘…Sleep well.’
By the time Diello whispered those words, she was already lost in dreams. He quietly closed the door to her room and returned to the living room, only to find his aunt and uncle engaged in a heated discussion.
“The madam seems to prefer simpler proposals.”
Redias nodded vigorously in agreement with Yuria’s assertion.
“She certainly didn’t seem to favor extravagance.”
“I heard she enjoyed such things while at Alors…”
“Rumors tend to be exaggerated, don’t they?”
Their opinions seemed to be converging… without any input from Diello, the one who would presumably be doing the proposing.
“Ah, Lord Diello.”
Yuria beckoned him over.
The servants at the Argenta main house would have been horrified to see the head summoned with a gesture, but Diello simply approached the couple without a word.
Yuria whispered,
“I observed the madam today…”
‘This is why we came.’
Diello nodded.
“And what are your thoughts?”
Yuria seemed to consider her words carefully before speaking.
“You mentioned wanting to become closer to her, yes?”
Diello nodded.
Yuria’s cheeks flushed slightly as she seemed to ponder something. Then, she spoke softly,
“Those who are deep thinkers, like her, consider many things before acting.”
He listened intently.
“Meaning, she thinks about the consequences of her actions before she acts.”
Diello nodded again.
Yuria was right; she always considered the potential repercussions of her actions.
“So, if she were to share a joyous moment with you, she might be preoccupied with what might happen afterward… which could be why she’s hesitant to accept you fully.”
Diello couldn’t argue with that.
‘It has to be Ferro.’
That was what she used to think. But now, she was his Ferro.
As if reading his mind, Yuria continued,
“Fortunately, she’s become Ferro, but she still has so much on her mind.”
She ticked off the points on her fingers.
“From what I’ve seen, the madam is consumed with the war, Alors affairs, the well-being of the knights… She doesn’t seem to have time to consider her own happiness.”
Yuria smiled gently.
“I hope you can become her happiness, Lord Diello.”
“You’re such a well-suited couple,” she added, as Redias draped a soft blanket over her shoulders.
“This is my advice, Lord Diello, when you ask the madam for her… night, don’t be forceful.”
Diello had no such intentions. Yuria went on,
“Give her a choice. Don’t use overly direct language, or make it sound like a demand. And definitely not in front of others.”
She spoke firmly.
“She might accept out of fear of embarrassing you. So…”
Her advice continued,
“You need to phrase it indirectly, leaving room for refusal.”
“Leaving room for… refusal…”
Diello looked down at his hands, a complex mix of emotions swirling within him. After a long silence, he finally spoke.
“…That’s difficult.”
“Of course it is.”
Yuria burst out laughing, pulling Redias into a hug.
“But I know you can do it.”
She winked.
Diello pressed his hand to his forehead, lost in thought. It was clear that this would be the most challenging persuasion of his life.
“….”
“….”
Redias and Yuria watched him with quiet amusement.
Their Lord, who had always been sharply honed since childhood, was changing… softening, for the sake of the one he loved.

The next day, I woke to an unexpected suggestion from Diello.
“You want to go where?”
Diello, who was already awake and gazing out the bedroom window, smiled brightly.
“To the family’s grave.”
‘The grave…? Why there, all of a sudden?’
I blinked in confusion.
