Chapter 35.1

“I have to go down to the estate.”

Lucis glanced at Leilia.

“What are you going to do about your mother’s inheritance?”

In response to Lucis’s question, Leilia glanced at Cassel. Since he had decided to consider her his true wife, there was no reason for her father to continue holding onto the inheritance.

“I need to meet my father.”

She knew that he would make up various excuses not to give it to her no matter what.

“Let me help you.”

Cassel’s words were reassuring.

“Cassel?”

“I’ll go with you.”

If he stepped forward, perhaps things would resolve a little more easily. With a sigh of relief, Lucis spoke to her.

“I hope the inheritance matter is resolved smoothly.”

“That’s right.”

Leilia smiled brightly.

“I’ll gather the list of magic stone artisans first.”

“Please do so.”

After Lucis left, Leilia asked Cassel something she was curious about.

“When did it first start?”

“Well, it wasn’t long before the war ended. I was really in danger of dying and desperately wanted to see Leilia, and then I suddenly felt my powers intensify.”

Even though she knew he had talent in swordsmanship, she never thought he would go as far as becoming a swordmaster.

“Can that sword handle Cassel’s swordsmanship?”

She asked a question that caught him off guard.

“Actually, it couldn’t.”

“There is no craftsman among humans who craft a sword for a sword master. To capture the aura, the sword master’s energy, into a sword, so a special process is required, and only dwarves can do that.”

Despite the fact that dwarves crafted weapons beyond the level humans could achieve, they wouldn’t take requests from humans, so special routes were needed to do so.

“Is that possible?”

Cassel was a little taken aback.

“Yes, it’s possible. The Hyllan association trades with all kinds of different races.”

Not just trading with humans.

“Leilia, you’re hiding too much.”

She blushed at his words.

“The leader of the Hyllan Merchants Association has corresponded with many different races for generations. It was possible because the original owner of the first leader was a mixed race of humans and dragons.”

Leilia explained quietly.

“Dragon?”

…A being often referred to as the strongest among races. Cassel became visibly tensed when its presence was mentioned.

“The first leader of the Hyllan association lived for a long time. It wasn’t a well-known fact because the second leader was a human.”

Leilia stood up from her seat.

“I’m going to send a letter to the dragon. Do you want to come with me?”

She wasn’t sending the letter in the usual way.

Cassel nodded his head.

The place they arrived by carriage was Natale’s restaurant.

“It seems like this is the secret base.”

Leilia chuckled at Cassel’s languid remark.

In fact, it was somewhat accurate. All missions related to the Hyllan association were carried out here.

After they greeted Natale, the two of them went down to the basement. Next to Leilia’s treasure room, there was a small room. Upon entering, there was a desk and a small square container made entirely out of glass placed on a shelf.

“I can feel the magic.”

Cassel approached the square glass container.

“It’s a legacy left behind by the first leader of the Hyllan association.”

Saying so, she took out a special paper enchanted with magic and wrote a letter. After writing that they were seeking a sword that a swordmaster could use, she placed the letter in the square glass container. As she did so, blue flames erupted from the letter and began to burn brightly.

“This is…?”

“The letter will be delivered to the dragon exactly as it was written.”

He nodded at Leilia’s words.

“It’s a gift only given to those approved by the dragon. And when I first saw this, I wanted to commercialize it, but the magnitude of magic it requires is something only dragons can handle, so I gave up.”

Then, she smiled at him.

“That letter is perhaps going to cause an uproar in the dragon society.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes, but it will be okay since Cassel is my husband. Dragons are friendly towards the leader of the Hyllan association. So when they come for reconnaissance, if you mention that you want to establish friendly relations, they’ll loosen their guard.”

“No matter how skilled a swordmaster is, it’s impossible to win if dragons attack in numbers.”

At his words, Leilia took Cassel’s hand.

“It’s possible when you reach the highest level of a swordmaster.”

Her words left him silent for a moment.

“How do you know that?”

There was scarce information about sword masters.

“I also exhaust everything in my hand to gather the information about aura recorded while gauging its destructive power.”

Then, he kissed her lips.

“Leilia is a wife with many secrets.”

In response to his deep kiss, Leilia closed her eyes for a moment before opening them again. Breathing heavily, she gave him a mischievous smile.

“Try to seduce me some more and find out.”
