At their praise, Natale quickly retreated to the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Lucis, helping out as a kitchen assistant, smiled as he glanced at Leilia, admiring her elegant appearance. He was pleased to see that the treasures she had kept locked away for so long were finally being brought out, one by one.

“I was planning to join anyway.”

Cassel immediately responded to Lucis’s remark.

“Did you plan on joining even if it was a private matter?”

Leilia’s question made Cassel pause. He sipped his drink in silence. She could tell he couldn’t answer, as he was in an awkward spot.

She gently pressed her finger against his cheek.

“You shouldn’t join during those times.”

“Lord Natale can go in my place.”

Cassel quickly came up with a solution.

Natale, who had suddenly been dragged into the conversation, pointed at himself and laughed.

“Prince Cassel, are you perhaps jealous of Lord Lucis?”
