“What’s so funny?”

Cassel, who had once again spent the night in Leilia’s room, lay on the bed and looked at her as he asked. He shot her a disappointed look when she left the bedroom to read the morning newspaper, leaving him behind.

In response to her words, he silently kissed the back of her hand. The courteous gesture made Leilia’s cheeks flush.

“I don’t want my husband to be poor.”

“So that’s why you made me rich.”

Cassel responded with another kiss, this time deeper and more possessive.

“Today… you know, right?”

“I know.”

Cassel murmured regretfully and released her hand. Normally, he would have taken more time with her on a weekend morning, but since she had to leave the mansion in the afternoon to visit Natale, he reluctantly let her go.

It had already been a week since the two of them returned to the mansion after wrapping up their work in the territory. With the knight order now established and only key members, Zen and Calia, accompanying them, they were beginning to settle back into life in the capital.

“It’s been a while since we last had a meal with Lord Natale.”

“Lucis might bring work along, claiming we have things to do.”

“That would be bad manners.”

Leilia spoke as though predicting the future, then smiled at Cassel.

She laid out her plans in detail for Cassel. After listening carefully, he turned to her with a question.

“We’ll begin as soon as people start gathering.”

Leilia flashed him a playful smile.

“I’m rich.”

“I know.”

“Even more than you think.”

Then, she leaned in and kissed him. The moment her lips touched his, Cassel’s face turned red. He lowered his head, his cheeks burning. Even though he always approached her passionately, whenever she initiated, he became completely lost.

Leilia nestled into his arms and whispered softly.

“This is enough for me.”

“Enough…?”

As if the thought were unthinkable, he pulled her closer. He knew he wouldn’t be able to control himself once they started kissing, so instead, he simply held her.

“Don’t tempt me.”

His voice was warm as he gently pressed her head against his chin. Leilia closed her eyes, breathing in his sweet scent.
