I now remember why I stopped reading this despite the amazing translation. I couldn’t be immersed in the story due to this sudden love. She’s 15 and having such a strong crush on a stranger is age appropriate, I know. But, it’s not a vain crush but a deep love for a stranger she doesn’t know or hasn’t seen long enough to get even the tiniest feel of his personality. And it’s a love so strong, she’s suffering severe heartbreak from? I mean, the whole instant and intense love at first sight thing is already a bit of a stretch. So how am I supposed to be immersed in this contrived love by the author? Then again, she’s young and foolish. It’s cringy so I’ll be skipping the chapters otherwise, I’ll be forced to drop the novel and I’m already incredibly bored as it is.
