Summary

The prologue is steamy but series will make your blood boil with anger at every new plot development. It’s a pretty scathing condemnation of corrupt religious institutions. It’s well written but this one of those series where I can’t ship the FL and ML in any way shape or form, I just desperately wish the FL will find happiness somehow at the end.

So the ritual to reveal the saintess or witch woman is false. I had a feeling this was the case when the novel stated that Veronica seemed to not be surprised by the white smoke. I wonder if Veronica is even a saintess. I'm sure all those the church murdered were not witches.

looks at notes open ending indeed…. well I personally dont think she killed her son or raon.
now one could argue that, since she wont ''She would never be benevolent to all the people who had wronged her, nor would she ever forgive them'' , maybe she actually didnt forgive him BUT. She did.
Her ''first act of murder'' is probably just telling that she had thought so long about killing her mother in law/husband and finally went through with the 'act'.
As dark as this novel is it makes more sense for her to just repeat what raon did to her and just leave it like that, ''do unto others'' as she says. So yeah.
and you know for a fact Raon would probably let her do all that he did to her anyway, so no point in her killing him when theres so many more 'plays' she can put him through.
