When the Villainess Died, the Male Lead Went Crazy - Chapter 137.1
Anais’s eyes widened at his words. Anais wondered if perhaps she had been sleep-talking, and her expression darkened.
“I will atone for my actions while I am still awake. I will do everything I can to earn your forgiveness for the foolish and ignorant things I have done… I will try my best.”
Anais felt as though the dream was becoming blurry when she saw the tears welling up in his eyes.
“Alright. I forgive you.”
At that, he collapsed into her arms, trembling with anxiety.

Kylian and Anais shared a bedroom. However, despite being almost a year into their marriage, they had not yet consummated the relationship. Kylian loved Anais deeply and desired her, but it seemed she did not feel the same.
“Wife.”
“Yes?”
“How about you stop looking at the documents and get some rest?”
“I’ll finish this first.”
Kylian felt disappointed seeing Anais seemingly uninterested in sleeping. Even though he lay in bed next to her, he felt an inexplicable emptiness.
As dawn broke, she turned to face him, resting her head on Kylian’s arm, who was half-asleep.
Kylian inhaled the scent of Anais’s body and hugged her tightly. Anais stiffened for a moment, then relaxed quietly.
He understood that Anais wasn’t used to leaning on him like that. He held her close until morning came.

“I don’t understand.”
Kylian was speaking to Marquis Radik who he was recently close to.
“What is troubling you now?”
“You mentioned that you had many women.”
Since Radik was not alive in the past life, it felt strange to Kylian that he was talking to him now.
Radik had recently inherited the title of Marquis, and he was a civilian born from a military background.
“I see you didn’t invite me to your office. I assume it’s a matter that the Empress shouldn’t hear?”
“That’s right.”
Radik was rather easygoing, so Kylian decided to ask him directly.
“The Empress and I have been through a long journey to finally be together. I hope we’ll never drift apart.”
“Of course.”
“Then why does it seem like she’s distancing herself from me?”
Radik hesitated for a moment looking at Kylian, who seemed truly troubled. Normally, one should not look so boldly, but he raised his head confidently and smiled.
“Your Majesty.”
“I’m listening.”
“Have you ever told her that you love her?”
“…I have.”
“Have you ever received an answer?”
“I don’t need an answer to know for sure.”
His memories were enough for him. He knew she had done all those things because she loved him, and he remembered her confessing her feelings for him before she left.
“I love you, Kylian.”
“…Damn it.”
But in this life, she had never answered him like that. That only deepened his unease. Moreover, the thought that she remembered her past life but was hiding it from him was something he could not shake off.
“I’ve brought up the issue, so I’ll take the golden fleece you promised me.”
Radik smiled and left the audience room.
Kylian thought about it for a while before unknowingly frowning as he realized why Anais was distancing herself from him.

“I know you’re avoiding me, Lewarren.”
Lewarren was standing before Kylian, as if he had been captured against his will. Kylian had placed his knights in the temple to make sure Lewarren couldn’t escape, then came to meet him without warning.
This room was Lewarren’s bedroom, the place he loved most. It was filled with luxurious and expensive items that even nobles couldn’t easily obtain.
“Kylian.”
“I’m going to ask you something now, and every time you don’t answer truthfully, I’ll break one of these items.”
“Are you crazy?”
“Yes.”
“These things here aren’t just expensive. And you’re going to break them?”
“Yes.”
Kylian said this calmly as he drew his sword. After releasing the sword’s energy, just a single strike in any direction would destroy everything in the room.
Lewarren knew very well that Kylian was the kind of person who would not hesitate to do something so terrible.
“What do you want?”
“Why are you avoiding me?”
“I haven’t been avoiding you. I’ve just been busy.”
“You know how bad my temper is, Lewarren Iphigenia.”
Kylian pointed his sword at the display case that contained Lewarren’s most treasured and beloved items.
“Does Anais know about this side of you?”
“Yes.”
