Time-Limited Saintess, You've Been Caught by the Tyrant Once Again - Chapter 38
Chapter 19.2
“She gave it to me at the market.”
“Oh, are you saying that you met her separately outside?”
“Yes.”
“Where?”
“That’s, in the market…”
“Which district’s market was it?”
“It was the South district market.”
“Oh, but Miss Ellin reported to me that she was going to the north?”
“I-I was mistaken! It was the north district.”
Erich’s lips curved into a cold smile.
“What was Miss Ellin wearing that day?”
“She was wearing a brown dress.”
“That’s odd because she was actually wearing black clothes that day…”
“I must have been mistaken because of the sunlight. She was indeed wearing a black dress.”
After Erich and Maynard exchanged glances, Erich smirked as he looked at Paul.
“You do nothing but disgrace in the name of God, Paladin Paul. Do you realize that there isn’t a shred of credibility in any of your words?”
“No, no. Please believe me. It was that cunning commoner Angelia!”
Paul erupted in anger as if Ellin were truly evil.
Seeing this, Erich clicked his tongue as he asked Maynard.
“Shall I report this to His Holiness?”
“No, there’s a decree from His Holiness that this matter should be handled by the high priests.”
During the previous outing, the Pope had secretly whispered to Maynard. It seemed the Pope was favoring Erich as the next Pope.
Upon hearing this, Erich nodded his head.
“Cut the deceitful tongue that mocks the gods, and sever the thieving hands.”
“High, High Priest!”
Even though Paul looked at him pleadingly, Erich remained unfazed and spoke with a cold tone.
“Ah, let me add one more thing. Make sure to cut that filthy place between his legs, which he used to mock us as well.”
“Lord High Priest, have mercy! Please, have mercy!”
“If you keep talking, I might end up revealing what I know.”
The sardonic laughter that followed in response sent an unsettling shiver down Paul’s spine.
…Could it be that Erich was privy to his relationship between the Saint and himself?!
As Erich made a chilling gesture and the paladins moved to take him away the next moment, a realization of his dire impending fate dawned upon Paul.
“Pa, Paladin Maynard!”
He hurriedly cast a pleading look towards his superior, Maynard, yet Maynard’s countenance remained unchanged as his indifferent eyes conveyed a message.
Accept the consequences of your sin.
‘…I need someone to plead for help!’
Shaking his head frantically, before long, Paul thought of his beloved lady.
“P-Please call for the Saint! The Saint will surely show mercy!”
“….”
“Saint, Saaaaiiint!”
Paladin Paul cried out as he was dragged away by the paladins.
Watching the scene indifferently, Maynard asked Erich cautiously.
“So, what are you going to do about that commoner Angelia?”
“You bought her clothes, didn’t you?”
“Yes?”
As Maynard appeared puzzled by the abrupt question, Erich directed a chilling gaze at him. A perilous gleam danced in his previously clear orange eyes as if he wanted to kill him…
“Doing something useless…”
Erich mumbled, almost chewing out the words.
It was as though he was regarding Maynard as a traitor.
On the other hand, sensing the oddity of the situation, Maynard was about to open his mouth when Erich smiled and continued.
“Let’s send her away as planned.”
“….”
“Because staying here will only bring her more pain.”
He let out a rare bitter smile.

Even though Angelias’ gaze fell on her, Ellin remained seated calmly despite the sharp look. It was a morning meal before leaving where the Emperor had yet to arrive.
“You’re quite audacious. Do you realize you’re a sinner?”
“….”
“It seems you bought quite a few clothes with the money from selling the Golden Bible.”
“Yes, they’re even better than ours.”
Her clothes were even more opulent than the pristine white outfit worn by Lilliana.
The dress, reminiscent of a tulip’s gentle curves, gracefully framed her neckline, tracing the elegant outlines of her slender form. A flowing chiffon skirt was cinched by a ribbon sash, elaborately adorned with golden embroidery. The design, while not excessively ostentatious, was crafted from sumptuous fabrics that immediately drew the gaze.
Ellin looked at them and clicked her tongue.
Despite being scrutinized by Arkan, everyone was remarkably indiscreet. Did they truly believe it was alright to discuss it openly like this? Or were they so dismissive of the repercussions of revealing such an unfortunate incident?
Clicking her tongue again, her gaze shifted to Lilliana. This was the juncture where Lilliana should have intervened.
“Why? It’s pretty. Besides, today is the last day you can wear something like this, so don’t be so hard on yourself.”
Liliana said sweetly.
In response to that, a sigh escaped Ellin’s lips. Even though she tried to discourage them, Lilliana persisted in her sarcasm, so she decided to give up. With the thought that in only a little while, she would pack her bags and leave without looking back after this meal, she wished for this moment to swiftly slip away.
At that very instant, Arkan entered the room.
As everyone stood up and greeted the Emperor, Arkan’s gaze swept the room before fixing directly on Ellin, and he approached her.
“It suits you well.”
“…Thank you for your compliment, Your Majesty.”
Seeing that Ellin greeted Arkan without looking at him, Lilliana smiled.
“Could it be that it’s a gift from Your Majesty?”
“I’ve caused her trouble because of my last time. She even helped me out, so this gift is a gesture of appreciation for that.”
“Ah, I see. I’m now curious about what’s going on.”
“It’s a secret I can’t reveal. Fortunately, it seems Miss Ellin knows how to keep her lips sealed.”
“I see. Some secrets are better left untold.”
At the warning not to pry further, Lilliana obediently stepped back.
“By the way, I heard something when I came in. You mentioned that today is the last time she’ll be wearing that dress. What does that mean?”
