The Obsessive Male Lead Is Jealous Of My Doll - Chapter 47
24 — 1
Darkness had already settled over the ducal castle as if a fierce storm had swept through.
“Stella isn’t coming today…”
Whether it was because she heard something from Gemma or figured it out on her own, Stella didn’t come to her room.
‘I could use the power of the soft, squishy rice cake at a time like this!’
Even though she smiled faintly and acted as if nothing was wrong, her mind was still unsettled.
[ Young Lady Karentina, can’t you sleep? ]
“Just… I have things to think about.”
Karentina lay down on the soft bed and twirled the covers around her.
[ The moon is very beautiful. ]
Seeing Leah flicking her pink ears back and forth, she turned her head towards the window. The bright moonlight shone in dazzlingly. Karentina held Leah in her arms and moved towards the window that led to the balcony.
“It’s really pretty.”
As she gazed absentmindedly at the soft moonlight, she could hear Zion’s gentle voice.
[ If you can’t sleep, it’s good to move your body around a bit. How about a short walk in the greenhouse? Or should I bring you some milk tea? ]
Was it because Zion and Leah felt her emotions? The feeling of having a reliable ally rather than being alone made her heart swell with emotion. Now that she thought about it, she realized that she had only seen the greenhouse from the outside and had never been inside before.
“Well, I’m not sure. Would you like to go to the greenhouse, Leah?”
[ I’d like that. Looking at flowers always lifts my mood. ]
Leah’s kind brown eyes twinkled softly.
After some thoughtful consideration in response to the dolls’ insistence, Karentina got up.

[ Wouldn’t it be better to at least wear a coat, Young Lady Karentina? ]
“Ah! Thank you, Leah.”
Karentina realized she was wearing a white negligee with lace and grabbed a thick coat from the dressing room. As she opened the door, the dry air of the deserted corridor brushed against her skin.
[ Master, I’ll finish up the tasks in the pantry and come over. If anything happens, call me right away. ]
‘Our Zion is working so hard late into the night.’
[ ….! ]
As she pictured him feeling embarrassed and not knowing what to do, Karentina and Leah exchanged glances and laughed.
‘Should I ask Stella to come along? I’m sure she’d like it.’
Karentina turned her head and caught a glimpse of Stella’s room at the thought. However, seeing that the light was off, it seemed she had gone to bed early.
‘I’ll go and see it out, then come back and bring her later.’
She then walked along the quiet corridors of the castle, greeted by several of the employees.
The moonlit path seemed to ease her unsettled mood a little. Her eyes soon widened in surprise when she arrived at the greenhouse at the side of the garden. The bell-shaped greenhouse, entirely made of glass, was quite enormous, resembling a gigantic botanical garden.
“Wow. It’s amazing.”
Her mouth fell open in awe at the sight of the grand and beautiful greenhouse.
‘I was so busy that I didn’t know, but there was a place like this.’
As she opened the door and stepped inside, the vibrant and fragrant flowers seemed to greet her. Thanks to the magic stones that regulated the temperature, the inside of the greenhouse felt like a warm spring day, in contrast to the winter wind blowing outside.
“It’s hot.”
Karentina took off her coat and draped it over one arm. The greenhouse was a space where staff weren’t allowed to enter freely.
The cozy warmth and the sweet fragrance of flowers wafted around her, enticing from all directions.
“It smells good.”
As she walked along the path laid out like a promenade, a delicately carved marble fountain appeared in front of her.
[ Wow! The fountain is so beautiful. ]
The gentle sound of trickling water seemed like soothing music. As she placed her outdoor coat on a metal chair near the fountain, the fresh, fragrant air and the vibrant energy from the plants made her feel much more at ease.
As she admired the flowers displaying their beauty, she was lost in thought again.
‘I had no idea Ignis had such a past.’
In the original story, Ignis was an arrogant and cold prince with exceptionally strong pride. Even when Ceria asked him about his childhood, he never uttered a word and kept his heart tightly closed. This was true not only for her but also for the other knights.
‘No matter how kind Ceria was, she misunderstood Ignis, who never showed his true feelings, and gave up on him.’
What would it have been like to live a life filled only with suspicion, unable to open one’s heart to anyone?
‘He must have been very lonely.’
It was difficult to predict just how far the devastation of this novel’s world would go. The image of young Ignis suffering kept swirling in her mind.
‘Let’s stop thinking about Ignis. His past isn’t something I can solve.’
Karentina hastily shook her head.
[ Look at this flower. It’s so cute. ]
Following Leah’s words, she slowly turned her gaze.
“It really does look cute. It looks like a butterfly’s wing.”
The small flowers with white and light purple colors were very cute.
“I wonder what its name is? It doesn’t seem like the violet Sasha mentioned.”
Leah looked up at her with a puzzled expression.
[ It’s not a violet. It’s a flower I’ve never seen before, but I don’t think it’s a flower that grows naturally in the northern region. ]
Seeing Leah making an ‘X’ with her cotton paws, Karentina nodded awkwardly.
“It must be a flower from another region.”
Since she was quite unfamiliar with flowers, she decided to ask the gardener about it tomorrow.
‘It must have been difficult managing such a large greenhouse. I should make sure to give them a bonus.’
