Yves Russell leaned his upper body towards Olivier before speaking again.
“It is true that Noah Russell’s absence from the battle served as the trigger of his title’s revocation. However, the core reason behind House Russell failing to keep its peerage is because both the household and the southern region’s power was waning.”
As he took in those words while looking straight at Yves’s golden eyes with his amethyst eyes, Olivier nodded so faintly that the movement could be barely seen.
“I see.”
For a moment, tense silence rose between the two men.
What broke that silence was the distinct click of the door being opened.
As it did, Radis appeared with a tray carrying three champagne glasses.
With both hands carrying the tray, Radis was about to walk in, but she immediately felt the rigid atmosphere in the room and paused for a moment.
“Did I disturb you two?”
Just as Olivier was going to look behind him, Yves rose from his seat.
“There’s no way that you are.”
He took the tray from Radis using only one hand and smiled brightly at her.
“You even brought one for me.”
Yves picked up one long glass of champagne and drank it all in just a single gulp.
Radis watched as his adam’s apple bobbed up and down right in front of her.
Then, waving the empty glass, Yves spoke again.
“I believe I’m needed in the banquet hall. It was an honor to have a conversation with you, Your Highness the Third Prince. And Radis, His Highness looks tired, so can I ask you to guide him to his designated room?”
Olivier replied, his face devoid of any expression.
“There’s still much that we need to discuss, so let’s talk again later.”
Yves nodded.
“It is always a pleasure, Your Highness the Third Prince.”

The next morning, Radis opened her eyes later than she usually would.
“Haaaahm…”
She’s tired.
After Yves left the drawing room, she showed Olivier to his guest room. He had gotten exhausted from using his mana.
That was straightforward enough, she believed.
However, it was after she guided Olivier to his room where the problem started.
She had returned to the banquet hall without much thought, but right then, she got cornered by the southern nobles.
The many people who surrounded her right then talked endlessly.
By the end of one story, another story would be brought up. And at the end of that one, another person would step forward and talk her ears off with yet another new topic.
In the end, Radis had to sustain critical damage via socializing until Yves swooped in and snatched her away, as though he was plucking a turnip right from a field, ending her high society hazing there.
“Owwww…”
Her eyelids felt heavy and her head was throbbing.
Even when she didn’t have to do anything, really, she had no choice but to smile all day. She could still feel her mouth twitching.
Radis dragged her body out of her room and into her chambers’ drawing room. All she wanted was to lie back down.
Finding her like that, Berry came running to her side.
“Lady Radis, when did you wake up?”
“Just now…”
“Heavens, Lady Radis! You look so lifeless. Do you feel sick?”
“No, I’m not sick.”
“Would you rather sleep a little longer?”
At Berry’s words, Radis felt strongly tempted.
But if she wouldn’t stay up and just crawl back into bed, she thought that she might really seem like a lout to other people.
Radis shook her head.
“No, it’s the right time for me to get up.”
“Then, I’ll bring a basin of water for you to wash your face.”
Apart from that, Berry also had Radis’s breakfast prepared.
The cheerful maid combed the slightly gloomy Radis’s hair. A dress that’s the most comfortable was also prepared for her.
As Berry had noticed that Radis was feeling lethargic, she spoke kindly.
“Lady Radis, would you like to have your breakfast in the greenhouse? The weather is very nice today.”
Radis recalled having a very pleasant meal in the greenhouse with Yves before.
“Then… Sure?”
“Hehe, I’ll have it ready as you wish!”
Then, Tanya entered the room.
With a serious expression and graceful steps.
Puzzled, Berry asked.
“What’s wrong?”
And in a dignified tone, Tanya faced Radis and addressed her.
“Lady Radis, His Highness the Third Prince is inviting you to join him for breakfast.”
Berry’s mouth went wide open.
“W-Who? What? His Highness…?!”
The very stern and very serious expression on Tanya’s face melted right then.
Her cheeks turned pink and her gaze clouded over.
“So it’s true that His Highness is the most beautiful man in the whole Empire…!”
“It must have been nice to see him…!”
Berry stomped her feet with envy and squealed. But she soon looked behind her and flinched as though she was saying, Oops!
“Lady Radis… What would you like to do?”
Radis thought about it for a moment.
She wanted to cool her head by having a quiet breakfast alone in the greenhouse.
However, in the presence of such an important guest, she was unable to do as she wished.
Radis nodded.
“Yes, I’ll go there now.”
