I Think I’m a Horror Game Villain - Chapter 69
Chapter 69
“You stopped me because you wanted to protect Rose, right?”
“….”
“I think Tommy treats Rose differently than he treats us….”
“Huh, nonsense.”
“When we were being chased by the dolls, you saw Rose looking anxious and offered to be bait.”
“Well, it wasn’t exactly because of Rose….”
Tommy, who had been hesitant, spoke with a confident tone.
“Like I said back then, I’d rather suffer alone than die and live here forever.”
“Then why did you carefully hold Rose in your arms, wrapped in a bed sheet, when you fell here?”
“Th, that’s….”
“You said that the ghosts couldn’t attack Rose in the past room either.”
“….”
“Come to think of it, it’s strange. Why was Rose wearing a maid’s uniform? The Rose I know wouldn’t be the type to wear something like that on her own.”
“….”
It was strange when I thought about it.
Why would Rose, who was so proud and dignified, wear a maid’s uniform?
‘With her personality, she wouldn’t have worn it on her own.’
There must have been some kind of force.
‘Did she receive a mission to wear a maid’s uniform?’
Dekir seemed to know the answer to this question, his eyes filled with confidence. I waited for Dekir’s next words with curiosity.
“This is just speculation, but don’t you think Rose wore the maid’s uniform because Tommy asked her to?”
Huh? Because Tommy asked her to?
‘That can’t be it. I don’t think Rose would follow Tommy’s words, not unless it was someone else.’
Besides, the ‘current’ Tommy doesn’t seem like the type who would want to see Rose in a maid’s uniform.
“Ha. What are you talking about?”
Tommy let out a dry laugh as if he couldn’t believe it.
“Are you crazy? Why would I ask her to do something like that?”
I agreed with Tommy.
But something was strange. Tommy’s eyes, as he said those words, couldn’t meet Dekir’s gaze directly. Moreover, his voice trembled unnaturally, and his expression was awkward.
He looked as if he had been caught and didn’t know what to do.
“Well, maybe he just wanted to tease Rose for wearing a maid’s uniform.”
“Ha? Why would I….”
“Because you’re interested in Rose.”
It was half right and half wrong.
Because…
‘Tommy doesn’t become interested in Rose until much later.’
In the latter part of the game, Tommy develops feelings for Rose. This is a kind of sub-story that you can see when you frequently choose options that pair Rose and Tommy together in certain situations.
Unfortunately, the story of the two doesn’t end with a satisfying happy ending.
Rose doesn’t think of Tommy as more than a friend, and Tommy hides his feelings because of the barrier of their social status.
It’s a disappointing ending, but what can you do? This is a horror game, not a dating sim.
Anyway, Tommy’s feelings for Rose develop in the latter half of the chapter. So, the current Tommy shouldn’t have any ulterior motives towards Rose.
Or at least that’s how it should be…
Tommy’s awkward demeanor. And Dekir’s confident questioning, as if he had seen through Tommy’s heart.
All of this situation was telling me one thing.
Tommy likes Rose.
‘Come to think of it, he didn’t answer the question about whether he hates Rose earlier.’
No way…
The game, of course, is much different from the story I know. But I didn’t think it would change this much.
“You didn’t answer the question about whether you hate Rose earlier, did you?”
“….”
“I’ll change the question. Tommy, how do you feel about Rose?”
“How, I feel. Well, that’s….”
As Tommy hesitated, Dekir uttered a decisive word.
“You like Rose, don’t you?”
Tommy flinched. His mouth opened wide as if he were about to retort, but he couldn’t utter a word and closed it weakly.
His silence clearly meant affirmation.
‘I had no idea. That Tommy likes Rose.’
Tommy lowered his head without a word. Dekir didn’t ask him any more questions and came to me with a triumphant expression.
“Heyna.”
Dekir, who was clinging to me, whispered.
“See? The person Tommy likes is Rose.”
His voice was filled with excitement, like a detective who had solved a long-unresolved case. Dekir’s lips formed a triumphant smile.
‘…Did he corner Tommy just to tell me this?’
In a situation where the room is filling with water, to prove the trivial fact that ‘Tommy doesn’t like Heyna. And he likes Rose.?
It was so ridiculous that I had to laugh.
I made up my mind. I wouldn’t mention who I liked in front of Dekir from now on.
With a mixture of surprise and amusement, I barely managed to regain my composure.
