I Don't Need the Grand Duke's Regret - Chapter 49
Chapter 49

Ricardo scraped her inside without any explanation. It felt as if he was treating Armilla not like a person but like an animal. In the face of his ruthless actions, Armilla felt shame and humiliation.
“Huht!”
Suddenly, Ricardo pressed his fingers against Armilla’s flat belly and toyed with them. With a cry, liquid gushed out from within her.
From that moment, Ricardo’s eyes began to show a strange madness. Armilla trembled with the overwhelming sense of helplessness and shame.
“Stop, please! Your Grace! Your Grace, please!”
Despite Armilla writhing and shouting, he didn’t stop. Her vision blurred with tears, and her body flipped over. From behind, Ricardo whispered chilling threats.
“Be quiet. Unless you want all the mansion employees to come.”
“Hu-ugh!”
Armilla scratched the table with her back shaking in pain. Like a pinned butterfly, she was struggling. Ricardo persistently rummaged through every corner of her insides. Regardless of her suffering, he didn’t stop.
Armilla sobbed in frustration.
It wasn’t the first time Ricardo had inserted his fingers into her. He did it many times to loosen her. However, this time was different. Completely different. He didn’t care about Armilla. Her pain, pleas, and screams were not taken into consideration.
Ricardo was solely fixated on scraping out the seeds he had spread inside her. Armilla was tormented by Ricardo’s relentless determination not to leave a single drop inside her.
His resolute will never to let her bear his child haunted Armilla.
“I suppose that’s enough for now.”
Ricardo released Armilla only when she seemed on the verge of fainting. Though it had been only a few minutes, it felt like an incredibly long and dreadful time for Armilla.
He glanced briefly at Armilla who was weakly sprawled on the table and shook his hands, pulling out a handkerchief from his jacket to wipe them clean. Then, he spoke in a calm tone as if nothing had happened.
“Today couldn’t be helped. This won’t happen again in the future.”
Ricardo spoke coldly and turned away. He had an attitude that implied there was nothing more to be done. He seemed uninterested in helping Armilla, who was slumped on the table.
Armilla, who had been waiting for the agony to end, blinked her eyes. In her blurred vision, she caught sight of the heartless man’s broad back. She looked at his figure with a sense of desolation as he left the greenhouse.
“Your Grace.”
A clear voice, like the morning birdsong filling the forest, echoed in the greenhouse. Ricardo paused at the sound of Armilla’s call.
However, that was it. He didn’t turn back. Ricardo, still showing his back, spoke.
“Why.”
“Do you dislike me?”
“No.”
“Then….”
Armilla gathered up her dress and rose to her feet. With the sound of her movement, Ricardo slowly turned his large body.
Ricardo’s gaze reached Armilla’s cheeks, stained with traces of tears. His eyes were chillingly indifferent, devoid of even a hint of sympathy.
Armilla’s chest tightened with profound despair. She couldn’t even receive the pity she had grown tired of expecting from him.
Of course, that was natural. Hadn’t Ricardo made it clear all along? Armilla was nothing more than his possession.
Armilla summoned her courage and spoke.
“Then, do you dislike the idea of having a child with me?”
“Why is that necessary?”
“Why?”
Armilla blinked with a dismayed face, her teary eyelashes fluttering. Ricardo stared at her piercingly and spoke.
“Our deal mentioned no children.”
“But we’re a married couple.”
Ricardo firmly sealed his lips in response to Armilla’s protest. She gazed at him in earnest and pleaded.
“I want a child that resembles Your Grace. I want to have our child. I want to present the successor to the Vittore lineage to you.”
“Looks like I have been too nice to you.”
Ricardo glared at Armilla and coldly chuckled.
“Know your place.”
Armilla gasped at Ricardo’s chilling words. A pain akin to a dagger piercing her heart surged through her. Clutching the dress tightly in her hands, she shivered.
“Is it because I’m not good enough?”
“No one can have my children. If there is even a chance….”
Ricardo’s dagger-like words gradually subsided. He slowly lowered his gaze, meeting eyes with Armilla.
“I will kill it.”
With Ricardo’s icy threat, Armilla lost her breath. A chilling sensation swept over her, as if the blood in her veins was turning cold.
Armilla wept in misery. Ricardo, staring at her tears with indifferent eyes, spoke again.
“I’ll have to go on an expedition soon. You, in the meantime, should behave…”
Ricardo quietly reached out. Wiping away the tears on Armilla’s cheek, he continued speaking.
“Just like you defied me again like this, you might not just exchange words next time, but rather heat his bed.”
“I would never do such a thing!”
“Well, we’ll see.”
Ricardo chuckled coldly. He looked at Armilla as if contemplating someone else, narrowing his eyes.
“Even though you have a husband, you meet another man and commit infidelity with that man.”
“I’m not!”
“It doesn’t matter.”
Ricardo cut in abruptly. He scanned her from head to toe and spoke.
“I don’t believe it.”
