Chapter 39

She wanted to feel Ricardo’s warmth somehow.
She wanted to feel him somehow.
“Kuht!”
Armilla, who was shaking like a doll, grabbed Ricardo’s thighs and clenched underneath.
Ricardo, who was violently thrusting her delicate inner flesh, suddenly let out a low moan and pushed her forward.
“Move.”
“Ah!”
Armilla, who had been lying on Ricardo’s lap, was lying on the bathroom floor. Ricardo pushed her away, breathing heavily as he quickly rubbed his own member.
“Huu…..”
Along with the sound of Ricardo’s breathing, some hot liquid splashed onto Armilla’s back. Only then did Armilla realize that he had pushed her away just before his climax. She felt indescribable frustration at the cold reality.
‘No, I’m…….. okay.’
Armilla clenched her lower lip. She hurriedly got up and picked up her torn dress. She was so distracted that her head felt dizzy.
“Come back.”
Armilla flinched at his satisfied call. Ricardo was in the bathtub while Armilla was picking up her clothes.
Ricardo called Armilla from the warm bathtub. It was a sweet temptation.
But he only deepened her frustration. After being treated like this, she felt so bad that she immediately wanted to run away.
Armilla moved her knees up and headed for the door. If only he would hold me just once more.
She will go back.
Armilla, who could not resist Ricardo in the end, repeated this to herself.
But despite her earnest wishes, Ricardo did not look for her any further. As if that was the end of the matter.

The middle-aged man strolling through the palace corridor had a satisfied expression.
After instructing his attendant to take the carriage, he leisurely started walking down the corridor, as if the palace belonged to him.
“I seem to be a step late.”
Durante, mused as he glanced beyond the window to admire the courtyard. He turned his body to face the young man’s voice and gave an arrogant nod.
“Greetings, Crown Princess, I hope you are well.”
“Thanks to you.”
Valerio spoke meaningfully. He had tried to hear about what Durante wanted from the Emperor in his audience with him. Unfortunately, he was a step too late.
Although Durante was a count, he enjoyed a status comparable to a duke.
The Aldaberto territory was the only agricultural zone within the Arcangelo Empire. Owning farmland capable of yielding a harvest in an Empire far from wealthy was a significant source of power.
Moreover, Count Durante was an ambitious man.
He was a close friend of the Emperor from their academy days and had close ties with the former Grand Duke. Durante had utilized these connections abundantly for his own advancement.
As an elder nobility, Durante maintained a close cooperative relationship with the Renato family.
In essence, Durante had alliances with both the imperial family and the Grand Duchy
Valerio glinted his eyes as he observed Durante, who did not bow deeply before the Crown Prince.
“I guess there is good news from Aldaberto?”.
“What kind of news could there be? It is a pleasure to see His Majesty’s health improving.”
“Nowadays, he even takes walks occasionally. At this rate, he might even be able to attend the Count’s daughter’s debut party.”
Durante’s mouth twitched as he laughed at Valerio’s words, clearly enjoying the conversation.
It seemed as though he remembered the sharp rejection he faced when he tried to offer his daughter to the Crown Prince. However, he quickly composed himself and wore a gracious smile.
“If that’s the case, it would be the infinite glory of Aldaberto.”
“I don’t suppose you’ve come to discuss next spring’s affairs.”
“Haha.”.
Durante turned his head towards the garden with a pleasant, amiable smile, seemingly ignoring the presence of the Crown Prince. Valerio remained composed.
“Then I’ll take my leave.”
Valerio did not waste any time as he bid a brief farewell. As he tried to enter the Emperor’s chamber, Durante interjected.
“The palace is quite warm.”
He remarked out of the blue. Valerio turned his body in surprise. Durante stroked his chin before continuing.
“It was so cold in Renato. Have you heard the news from there?”
“Did you attend the Princess’ funeral?”
Valerio replied in an indifferent tone. However, it was difficult for him to maintain his composure when it came to matters related to Renato.
The land was ruled by the one he had hated since he was very young.
Renato was a place Valerio never wanted to get close to. That was the reason he had not attended the diplomatic ally’s important event, the Princess’s funeral.
Valerio clenched his fists as he waited for Durante’s response. Even the mention of Renato’s name seemed to sink his mood.
Seemingly understanding Valerio’s mind, Durante spoke with a satisfied expression.
“The funeral is old news. There has been a happy occasion in the Grand Duchy since then. Didn’t you know about it?”
“What happy occasion are you talking about?”.
“Please ask His Majesty about that.”
Durante replied with his characteristic sly smile before turning away. Valerio, who had been closely observing Durante’s back, clicked his tongue and turned his body.
Before long, Valerio realized why Durante seemed so pleased.
Bang!
“How could he! Of all people!”
Valerio stiffened his face at the emperor’s furious shout. He stood with his hands behind his back, directly bearing the Emperor’s anger.
“Marrying a woman he picked up from the streets? And without even obtaining approval from the imperial family?”
Valerio sighed. Before entering the chamber, the chief attendant had hastily informed him of news about Renato.
Valerio found it hard to believe the news he had heard.
Ricardo had fallen in love and married, ignoring the imperial family. The Ricardo he knew was never the kind of person to do such a thing.
A lovesick Ricardo was beyond imagination.
