Chapter 279

Even after finding a method to awaken Sera, it took more time to proceed with the plan.
There were disagreements over who should enter Sera’s subconscious.
While Helios, being closest to Sera, was the ideal candidate, the risks of entering someone’s consciousness couldn’t be ignored.
Moreover, there was only one chance.
Araella firmly stated that entering someone’s dreams, a delicate interaction with the subconscious, could only be attempted once.
The entire operation was carried out in secrecy.
Using this as leverage, Helios steadfastly insisted on taking the role himself, and a compromise was reached after thirty minutes.
Regardless of the outcome, Araella would sever the connection between Helios and Sera’s consciousness after that time.
“Heli, are you sure you want to do this?” Jean asked.
He knew that it would be impossible to change Helios’s mind, yet he was still filled with concern.
Helios, with unwavering determination from the start, reassured him in a firm tone.
“It has to be me, Jean. And they said thirty minutes should be safe.”
His gaze shifted slowly to Raphael, who looked troubled, perhaps feeling a deep sense of responsibility for Sera’s condition.
It was because of this that Raphael supported Helios in this decision this time, even though Helios himself did not know.
“Are you ready, Your Majesty?” Araella asked, looking nervous.
Helios turned to look at where Sera lay and replied with a resolute expression.
“Yes.”
“Your Majesty, I must remind you—only thirty minutes. We will have to stop the spell no matter what after that time. And, Your Majesty—”
“Pushing too hard to awaken her consciousness might provoke Belzebuth, sensing the threat. So, do not force her memories out or mention it’s a dream. Yes. I will remember.”
Helios reiterated Araella’s warning before leaning back in the chair and closing his eyes.
Now, it was his turn to keep his promise to Sera.

Upon seeing the parent who had come for the consultation, Sera understood why the other teacher had made such a fuss.
He was a foreigner with an appearance so striking it seemed out of a novel.
His shining silver hair and amethyst eyes were beyond mere beauty.
“Um… Please, take a seat here.”
Sera hurriedly gestured to a chair, realizing she had been staring too much.
She wondered if his long legs could fit the small chairs meant for first-graders, but he sat down without any sign of discomfort, crossing his long legs and quietly observing Sera for a while.
Regaining her composure, Sera greeted him first.
“I apologize for the late introduction. Have you been waiting long?”
“No, it’s alright.”
He replied fluently in her language, which relieved Sera. It seemed there wouldn’t be a need to continue this consultation in a foreign language.
“May I know which student is your child?”
As Sera recalled her 34 students, she carefully asked, unable to match any of them with his extraordinary appearance.
However, families come in various forms, and she knew better than to jump to conclusions.
“I’m not the father… Rather, I’m the older brother.”
“Oh, I see. My apologies.”
Sera shared an awkward smile with the man who looked no older than in his late twenties. It appeared he wasn’t a father after all.
Was he here for a consultation about his siblings then?
“May I ask the names of your siblings?” Sera inquired of him about the children’s names.
The man looked at Sera for a while, then made an indiscernible, subtle expression.
“I never said there were more than one.”
“Ah?”
Sera was puzzled by her own question.
Siblings, plural? There were no twins in her class, yet somehow the words had slipped out strangely.
“I must have been confused because my mind has been elsewhere lately. I apologize.”
“No, it’s alright. They are indeed my siblings, twins actually,” he replied with a light smile, indicating no need for apologies.
Had he read her mind? Sera was genuinely surprised to learn that he indeed had twin siblings.
“Their names are…”
The handsome man hesitated unusually long before saying their names, making Sera feel odd as he seemed to gaze intently at her.
“Ferre, Rosé.”
“Ferre, Rosé?”
Sera accidentally exclaimed something that sounded like a brand name of chocolate and quickly waved her hands.
Ferre and Rosé felt like familiar names to her. Yet, there were no students by those names in her class. She might not remember all 34 students’ names by heart, but if it were such unique foreign names, they would have stood out.
Seeing Sera’s regretful expression, the man looked at her.
“Ah… I’m sorry, but I don’t have any students named Ferrero… Rosé in my class… Perhaps they’re in a different class? Shall I check for you?” Sera offered, considering the possibility of a mix-up.
However, the man wasn’t flustered or surprised. He just gazed at her with a wistful smile, his eyes filled with longing as if looking at a long-lost lover.
Sera felt odd every time their eyes met and started to avert her gaze slightly.
“It’s not Ferre-ro Rosé, but their names are Ferre and Rosé,” the man corrected, hesitating before clarifying the names Sera had mentioned.
“Right, of course. Ferreritan and Roseline.”
Sera nodded, recognizing the names as if she should know them.
“You remember them well. Ferre and Rosé are their nicknames.”
“Pardon?”
Surprised by her own words, Sera covered her mouth, puzzled about how she knew those names.
