I Became the Tutor of the Royal Twins - Chapter 216
Calling his younger siblings with a gentle tone, Helios patted their backs.
“It’s a very interesting opera. If you just see it once, you might ask me to go and see it again.”
“Uh-uhh. I hate demons and snakes. They’re scary.”
“Yeah, like Ferre said. I can’t sleep if I see scary things like that. I can’t even go to the bathroom at night. I don’t wanna watch it.”
“Yeah, yeah. I don’t like it.”
Rosé and Ferre hugged each other tightly, shaking their heads.
“If anything scary comes out, I’ll hug you veeeery tightly. And if you’re scared at night, you can come to my room so we can all sleep side-by-side together.”
Rosé and Ferre didn’t say anything to that, and they thought about it seriously. Sleeping all together wasn’t such a bad idea.
Waiting nervously for his younger siblings’ response, Helios watched as Rosé and Ferre finally made up their minds and looked up at Helios.
“Eyy, Oppa. We can’t do that. We made a promise with Sera.”
“Yeah, yeah. We promised not to sleep in Hyung’s bed.”
“We can’t do that because me and Ferre have grown up a lot already!”
“Sera said we should help Hyung sleep because you need a lot of rest.”
Rosé and Ferre shook their heads firmly, resolute about keeping their promise.
It’s clear that Helios should be pleased to see how mature his younger siblings had gotten. However, it was not the answer that he wanted.
Helios rubbed his temples.
In the end, he was forced to use his last resort.
“Miss Popo will be going to watch the opera that day. You may get a chance to meet her, but— Ah…”
Pretending to realize his mistake in accidentally letting that fact slip, he trailed off.
Fortunately, Rosé and Ferre reacted strongly, perhaps unable to resist once ‘Sera’ was mentioned.
“Yes. Miss Popo is going there, too.”
Helios replied with a small smile, making sure not to show his true feelings.
“Why didn’t you say that first! If Sera’s there, of course we’re going!”
“Yeah! Heli Hyung should have said that right away. Why did you say the most important thing last!”
Now privy to the upcoming meeting with Sera, the twins shouted their hurrays.
Jumping off his lap like little frogs, they adorably hopped up and down together.
In any case, it’s a relief that his younger brothers were coming with him.
Fully aware of his actions, Helios buried his face in both hands. It would be so embarrassing if he’s caught.
“But isn’t this great? I thought Oppa and Sera got into a fight.”
Rosé’s clear eyes sparkled as she giggled.
“Me too. Hyung and Sera started acting kinda weird when we came back to the capital after the Imperial Villa.”
“That’s right, that’s right. You guys didn’t talk to each other.”
“Hyung and Sera weren’t even making eye contact. It felt so awkward, right, Rosé?”
If Ferre of all people noticed, then everyone would have definitely noticed.
Helios sighed for a long time, wondering if the awkwardness between him and Sera was that noticeable.
Since Ferre knew, it’s entirely possible that not only Raphael and Jean noticed, but even all the servants who saw them that day.
Recalling what happened, he remembered only exchanging a few words with her so as to avoid anyone else catching on to their situation. However, it seemed like it had been a fruitless endeavor.
“Even at Sera’s house, too. I thought Hyung was angry back when you put down your cup like that.”
“Ah! Yeah, yeah! I got surprised, too. Oppa, why did you do that?”
Helios suddenly felt heat rising to his face. He jumped out of his seat.
Reaching out towards the table, he gulped down a glass of cold water.
But what did they mean, angry? No, well, perhaps it was right to say that his mood had soured at that moment. But he didn’t set down the cup forcefully because of that reason.
It’s just that, after she had confessed to him, she immediately declared that she could never be in a relationship with him, so…
Realizing his cowardly and selfish attitude, he gulped down more water again.
His cheeks continued to show off a scarlet hue. As Rosé came closer, she offered her older brother another glass of water.
“More water, Oppa?”
“Uhhh, no. I’m fine.”
Rosé shook her head. And then, she smiled slyly—with a knowing gaze.
Though she was quite a lot younger than him, this baby sister of his had such a good sense for these things. He’s worried about what Rosé would say.
“Heli Oppa must miss Sera a lot, huh? You keep asking us to go to the opera with you.”
Helios tried to say Rosé’s full name, but he choked and coughed.
Rosé ran away with a skip in her step, obviously happy about something. But after a while, she reappeared with Ferre, both with wide smiles on their faces.
Rosé brought back with her a fairytale book. Then, in unison with Ferre, they shouted.
“Please read this!”
Setting down the glass that was in his hand, Helios slowly lowered his head.
What kind of book was it going to be today? As he took the book from them, he scanned its title.
“’Sound of Music’.”
With her name engraved under the title, it’s clear that this book had also been written by Sera.
Even if he didn’t want to think of her, there were traces of her all over the Star Palace. He couldn’t forget her at all.
As though he had been with her for such a long time before this, he felt so empty without her now.
Now, as Helios was about to turn the cover and read the first chapter, Ferre whispered.
“Hyung, this book is really really fun.”
“Really? What is it about?”
Helios asked affectionately, going through the book.
“A duke named Elios has seven younger siblings, two of them twins, you know? But they play tooooo many pranks so he calls the tutor, Seri Popos.”
“And Seri Popos gets close to the children and marries the duke because they loooove each other.”
Helios could no longer proceed to read the book.
That sounded oddly familiar.
