And the tracking wouldn’t even work here.
There was no guarantee they could safely reunite after parting ways.
“You want to take a human?”
The golden dragon clicked its tongue in disbelief.
It looked at Luca as if seeing a child who had made a friend out of a bug in the street, having no one else to play with.
“Why that one?”
“Because he’s my little brother!”
Not a human friend, but a human brother. The dragon was left speechless.
With Luca’s declaration, the golden dragon realized there were no mature dragons around Luca, and if there were, they likely rejected him, leaving him to grow up among humans.
The dragon was convinced that this small dragon needed to blend in with his kind before it was too late.
“Don’t worry. They’re all reckless, but they don’t lack the heart to protect their kin.”
“Seeing you makes me think I know exactly how hard it is to get your kind to listen to humans.”
Luca muttered, shuddering.
“My god, ‘humans’? It’s worse than I thought. But don’t worry, you’ll adapt soon enough.”
“I don’t need this! Let go!”
